First Grow & Legally In Canada

Well you can use this little snippet I pulled from another post around here somewhere and depending on how much lux the fluorescents use they may be better in the GH.

Daylight intensity in different conditions
Illuminance Example
120,000 lux Brightest sunlight
110,000 lux Bright sunlight
20,000 lux Shade illuminated by entire clear blue sky, midday
10,000 - 25,000 lux Typical overcast day, midday
<200 lux Extreme of darkest storm clouds, midday
400 lux Sunrise or sunset on a clear day (ambient illumination).
40 lux Fully overcast, sunset/sunrise
<1 lux Extreme of darkest storm clouds, sunset/rise

And how would the fact that it is under the light for 17-18 hours inside compared to outside different amounts of lux throughout the day effect how much they grow or get from the light?

Ok thank you this Friday I will be home and can bring them out during the day and over the weekend but you are saying put them hypothetically in a living room with plenty light but not directly under it? I had thought I was supposed to just give them like a hour or 2 of direct sun(the greenhouse has a white chalk coating to sorta block direct sun) and then progressively integrate them. Is what we each said two different things? and for a update the King tut had off shots long enough to play with so I stuck a open hook ended twist tie down in the soil to kinda tug on it lightly. I think I should get longer pipe cleaners but seeing the pink pots I have do you have suggestions how you might try it?

What I do is put them in the sun for a couple of hours early morning. Then I move to under a shelter, shade, or whatever blocks the sun throughout the strongest part, then back in the sun late evening. The light around the plant is enough for a while until the plant is hardened to the conditions.

I'm a little bit disappointed my GZ grew 3 shoots instead of 2 because now i'm improvising more and following a guide less. Has anyone had something like this just go killer or something aha :blunt:

So it has been 1 week 1 day since topping so I introduced a couple of the ladies to bondage, hoping they are ok with that. I want to get this White Widow into a 5 gallon in the GH I just peeked at its roots and seen that it needs up potting. The strange double branch, the second shoot is a lot thinner hoping it is just a leaf but wait and see. The oldest girls are 38 days from going in the soil and then the younger girl is 31 days old. What else should I mention or talk about?

Nice plants @r0am1ng st0ner

What part of Canada you from? I’m in Alberta.

I’ll be sure to follow along!

I’ve got two girls going right now, their not doing too well, last week I noticed some problems, thought it was a nutrient lock out of some kind, but in reality they were just root bound, and needing to be transplanted. Now their worse, and I’m in immediate need of transplanting... no time at the moment, hopefully later today.

Good luck with your grow!

After you transplant give them a good drink of pH'd water and hope for the best is what I would do, good luck to you aswell.
I am from Ontario here still lots of snow can’t wait to get some girls outside.
Lots of snow in backyard but none in the green house

@r0am1ng st0ner at the bottom of my post is a link called blue angel 2019, that’s the journal I have going for these two girls. Yeah I’ve given them a flush over a week ago , waited till pots were light(er) and then gave them a good feeding with nutrients. Noticed the roots through the holes at the bottom of the pot and made note that I needed to up root to a bigger pot soon, That’s when I flushed, then when I fed them a dose of nutes, came back the next day and they were worse. I should have transplanted when I first noticed.. ohh well today they will be up rooted.

I’m in central Alberta, south of Edmonton a ways. where abouts in Alberta are you located if you don’t mind me asking?

Nice to know there is some local members!! There is more then I thought. :passitleft:
