Hey T it looks like your on the right track. I love hydro! I feel it gives the grower more control than soil growing does. Also, great job on not getting flustered or discouraged about your original choice for soil. New growers like me and you have to be ready to change up everything and go with the flow as we learn.

Dennise THX a lot, your talk about watering makes me change little things, with a 40 Kg tank on top of the medium, it's not going to be easy to water. So i brainstorm with myself this afternoon, and will produce something more adapted tonight. I've got three days stabilizing peebles PH to 5.8 /6 so i can continue building an easy to maintain system.

Thanks a lot Bud, i'm so glad to be followed by hydro specialists that i left my fear outdoor the tent . it gave me a good motivation to learn hydro rules and build my own system. Or maybe the jamaican stuff i actually smoke gives me a DIY high ^^.

First serious thing, i filled the tank with tap water, about 25 liters, As water with peebles gave me PH 8, i first down the ph to 3 and peebles are in now for 10 hours. PH up to 4.6, i'll see tomorrow morning and will change water and ph to help clay peebles so that they can reach PH 5,6/6, ideally 5.8.

Hydro guyies, agree with that ??

You want to first rinse your hydroton to remove all the dust then soak the hydroton in water adjusted to pH 5.8 . You can use a colander to rinse the dust from the hydroton.

Filled with 25 litres tap water + 25 ml Valsberg Garden Phase 1. Manufacturer Calendar said 1 ml/litre 1 week.

EC 0.26 --> Do I need to add more phase one to reach 0.8 - 1.2 ?

PH 5.5 --> Goal 5.8 was 6.1 when i add nutrients, Am i right ?

Edit Ph stab 5.7 for now EC still 0.26

First of all, thanks to dennise, i decided to add a "clic" valve easier to carry out the up tank (sorry not possible to find any equivalent for clic valve at this time), all pieces has been recovered with aquarium silicon and dried for 48h. test are perfects.

The NFT has been installed, tested, PH is 5.8, i extrated with lot's of care the THC's bombs seed from soil, and perfect for the living one, unfortunatly one looked like 6 day's ago but with roots brown, an air pocket. Seed next inserted in rockwool with a quick bath in a 5.8 ph water + phase 1.

I've got some platinium enzimax booster do you think i can already put some in the tank water ? i plan to water two times a days, time for roots to come out of rockwool.

Remain one girl so i will make my first grow with one seed,

Hey T your setup is looking great. I'm jealous of your LED light! I wish I had one but they're out of my price range. I couldn't tell if you had a sprout in the pebbles though. Also I would go 1/2 strength with any nutrient recommendations because you could burn, or kill your seedling from the soup being two hot. Just go easy at first, and work your way up with nutrients. It took me awhile before I learned less is more brother. Anyways, great job and ill see you later T.

Many thanks for your reply Bud, between your return, dennise confirm and with the experience i had yesterday, it seems that EC 0.26 won't underfeed my plant ?

Moreover i have respected grower calendar so, if i had gone only with 1/2 strength, EC would have been at 0.16 (i did yesterday first with 1/2 dose but when i saw EC0.16 i've completed to recommended dosage) so EC 0.16 could potentially be a normal mesure for my soup ???

All grow journal and guides mentionned an EC mini to 0.8 when plant starts, so still something i dont understand

Yes, popcorn buds have a nice smooth body buzz. I am pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting anything since it was the first pull. Trichomes were clear with less than 10% cloudy. Second pull they were about 25% cloudy. They don't get tested till next weekend.
