First Grow Ever!

Problem with test strips and vials is that its range is usually 6-7.5ish and they have color codes between ranging from 6.2, 6.4, 6.6, 6.8, 7.0 etc. Anything that falls below 6 or above 7 or 7.5 will not give an accurate gage of ph. Once it goes below 6.0 it can be 4.0 for all you know and it will still read and show on the color chart as 6.0, same for high alkaline readings.

So now that I've flushed do I need to feed again now or should I wait until morning when I feed them all? Side note: I will be testing my nutes before feeding from here on out.

At what stage/age of the cannabis plant does it become usable for edibles or oils? When should I start saving my leaves and clippings?

Yeah I have that GH ph kit as well. It is Hard to get an accurate reading of nutrient water and especially a runoff sample. You won't get accurate colors at all due to water being mixed. Like was stated by Lady the test drops used with pure clean water is not very accurate as it is. Time to bite the bullet and get a ph pen as well as reference solutions and cleaning storage fluid. I got one from Amazon, not the cheapest and not the best by any means but it has been used alongside a $1000 pro ph tester and is very accurate to the same readings.

So I personally can vouch for this pen Hi Tech Portable Accurate Digital Pen Type pH Meter (0.0-14.0 Range) BackLit Display 0.01 Resolution , ATC - 100% Warranty; Hydroponics, Aquarium, Bee Hi Tech Portable Accurate Digital Pen Type pH Meter (0.0-14.0 Range) BackLit Display 0.01 Resolution , ATC - 100% Warranty; Hydroponics, Aquarium, Beer Brewing, BONUS: FREE Calibration Powder Included

Good morning all. Good vibes and blessings sent to you all. This morning as I fed the gals, I checked the ph with the GH kit and it read low (about the same as the runoff from last night) so I used a small amount of ph up and brought it up to what looks to be the right range with this type of kit. I will be purchasing a ph pen asap so this isn't an ongoing issue. Now I'm wondering if it's been low the whole time and why only the 1 plant seems to be affected by it...... blah.. blah... blah..... scratching head..... lol. Live and learn. Thank you all for your help and guidance. The live here at 420 magazine is definitely unparalleled.

I was sitting here reading thru king Joes journal and I noticed he's having the same issue. He said his led lights are about 8 inches from tops...... I and an ah ha moment!!! Lmao. Turns out... so are mine! I have not once raised them since day 1. They are now 16 inches from the tallest cola. I'm gonna not do anything goes else to these ladies until I wait to see if that not what the issue is. It's only happening to the tallest colas closest to the light so I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
