Hi. Are those yellow things bug catchers? Is that an issue?
I noticed about 2 weeks ago that in the runoff water i collected from all 4 clones there were gnat larvae but i didnt know from which plNt they came from so far i had only 2 gnats and they got caught in the stickys. Today i watered all 4 and they seem to only be coming out of one pot the one in the bottom right corner so i just placed them everywhere for precaution but i will probable get some sand to put on the surface. Unless someone can tell me how to kill them for good without harming my plant.

I watered the remaining plants eith just clean 6.0ph and calmag i will stop using these nutrients and probably go buy seperate bottles. What do you guys recommend its my first grow i dont want to complicate things

Sand is a good move. You need to deal with that now. They eat your roots as well as your leaves. If that doesn't work there are other safe things you can do. Google nematodes for fungus gnats. Also diatomaceous earth. I have them with my current grow. I'm using big plastic airpots, so their are tons of holes for the little bastards to hide and escape from. They are pretty much under control (as in gone). The combination of all that stuff along with some mild (soap based) insecticide has kept them at bay. Do yourself a favor and deal with it robustly now.

re: First grow help!

I watered the 2 remaining plants with 6.0ph and cal mag....im gonna stop using these nutrients and get seperate bottles. What do you guys recommend its my first grow i dont want to complicate things...some botanicare pure blend pro grow and some calmag?

I live by the acronym KISS. I've used floranova bloom exclusively for over two years. I'll probably never grow a trophy plant (although I've had indoor grows exceed 4' and reaped over a pound of cured bud from a 2X4 grow box) but the one bottle regimen suits my lifestyle. I have two homes 450 miles apart and my garden often goes for three weeks without any human input. Timed watering system in coco coir with floranova bloom is what makes this possible.

Thats the way i did it so like that if things dnt come out i didnt spend a boat load of money u can with floral nova grow in bloon i would get some cal mag an armor si to grow em tall and strong n florallicious for roots supplement thats how i woulf go with first gro u can get all this prolly under 60 or 70 bucks but all those advance nutes are prolly good its just for the advance grower cuz ul now ur way around it

Your watering how many times a week? And how many times do you flush in between?

my final transplant is into seven gal grow bags. Just prior to transplant I drench the coco with with my nutes mixed to 5ml/gal and then compress the coco to drain as much of the water/nute mixture as possible. After transplant, I set my timer to water for one minute per day through three emitters. I progressively increase the watering frequency until I reach three times a day allowing the pump to run one or two minutes each time. At peak this works out to almost 1/2 gal per day but I water enough each interval to waste.

I know most recommend a clear water flush at intervals but I seldom do. My reservoir is 18 gal and when I need to replenish if it feels slimy I'll clean and do a flush with a mild h2o2 solution. Otherwise I don't flush.

I've never used botanicare so I can't offer advice there.

Re: First grow help!

The ph on the run off should be the same ph as the water going in right?

Not really how different stages require different ph levels. I'd say as long as it comes out in range if able to test that .
