First Grow Deadhead OG DWC Hydro Setup

Today is day 7 of Late Flower and I changed out my buckets and fed the girls in Happy Farm as well. Deadhead OG #2 PPM 549 Temp 72.8 PH 5.9 Deadhead OG #3 PPM 542 Temp 73.1 PH 5.8
Feed for soil girls PPM 519 Temp 72.4 PH 6.3
Armor Si 0.5ml/g Calimagic 2.5ml/g Flora Micro-2.5ml/g Bloom-3.5ml/g Liquid Kool Bloom-1.5ml/g

The smaller Deadhead OG (#2) has been the puny girl of the pack from the start but I’ve kept her around and continued to love her either way. Deadhead OG #3 was the same height canopy as the rest when I started flower and during the stretch she went nuts and I had no more room to make her stretch outwards so I just had to roll with it.Fruit Loops and Green Crack that I got from my favorite Dispensary are on par with each other and are packing on thick buds very nicely. The Blue Dream that I got from a different dispensary (not the same one I got got the Hermie from or my fave place) is doing good she is just small.. she just kind of stayed kinda small for some unknown reason but her buds are getting thick and appear to be stacking nicely..she will be the last to harvest but hoping she finishes out decent.

Today is ripen day 2 so 7 weeks not including the week of transition. The girls are looking good and frosty and the Trichomes on the Green Crack and Fruit loops are telling me to start flushing. I plan on starting the flush on the Deadhead OG hydros this Sat or Sunday depending on the trichs. Blue Dream should be due the following week for harvest so starting this weekend I will start the flushing process on the rest of them. Very excited and nervous at the same time. Nervous cuz I don’t want to screw anything up. I know I could have done way better than this but alas it’s my first time growing anything ever so I’m mostly happy that I made it to this day with them all looking so yummy. I’m still not sure why the Blue Dream came out so small but she is packing on some bud and had been super sticky so I’m hoping in the next couple of weeks she will really pack it on. I’ve got her clone in the veg tent so I’ll see if she gets any bigger growing a little differently.

Thank you! I’ll definitely be watching yours grow and follow along! Next grow after I get some seeds I’m gonna try hydro again and at least next go around I will be a lot more skilled on what not to do with more what to do excited to watch the difference in the two media’s you chose for yours.

Today I gave Fruit Loops and Green Crack their last flush Green Crack ended with a PPM of 28 and Fruit Loops was still pretty high at 217 but I am just gonna look at it like an experiment and see if there’s a big difference. I will harvest them both once they dry out in around 4 days or so. I started the flush on Blue Dream which still has roughly 1 1/2-2weeks left and both the Deadheads in hydro I switched to plain ph’d RO water with 1 tsp/g of florakleen and I will let that run for a few days then switch to just plain RO water for a few days then they should be ready to harvest! I had to add more string to the hydro girls today as the buds were getting to heavy on them and started bending the stems.

Day 132 from seed for those in hydro at least and the time has come for the long awaited harvest tomorrow! They will have had 8 full weeks in flower and the trichs are where I want them. I did accidentally pop a bud off of the Deadhead OG (hydro) and let it dry overnight and smoked a small bowel and Wowie it is potent!! Sticky all over everything The only one that’s not ready yet is the Blue Dream but she is about a week give or take away!

Round one of first ever harvest! I only got two outta 4 chopped trimmed and hung yesterday but doing the remaining 2 today. I started with my Hydro girls both Deadhead OG. I started with DH #2 my very small one and looks like she may have done better than I thought she was going to do. DH#3 was the bigger girl and she took well over 3 hours to harvest. I have been watching a lot Pigeons 420 on YouTube and that’s where I learned about bud washing and I gave it a go and so far it looks like it went well and well worth the extra few minutes it took.
I absolutely suck at guessing weights so I’m just gonna throw some pics out and wait the week give or take for drying then give the weight of the harvest on each.

Ok so I kept wondering why my buds were just not fattening up like I thought they should be..I thought maybe I screwed up and didn’t put enough booster in at the end but........
Today they were all dry and ready to be jarred and while I was doing my final detail trim bam a couple of SEEDS!! I had a Tony Stark plant grow bananas back on week 5 of flower and I thought I got it out on time but apparently before it popped its banana out to where I could see it it managed to pollinate EVERY SINGLE one of my girls Blue Dream is the only one left by her lonesome in there she has till probably this weekend when I harvest her.
I Only got the few clones at the dispensaries because it’s almost impossible to get your hands on seeds here and I was just trying to fill up my closet but that totally backfired on me. Lesson learned!!
Even with the light seeding as there was only a few on each plant that were definitely not mature I did manage to pull off enough to last me a minute
Deadhead OG #2 (hydro) 1 ounce and 2 grams
Deadhead OG #3 (hydro) 4.43 ounces
Green Crack 1.55 ounces
Fruit Loops 2 ounces 3grams
I was hoping that Blue Dream would fatten up but I can see now she isn’t going to fatten up anymore
I can say at least this.. I have a lot more weed than I did a week ago and I learned sooooo many lessons!! I did sample the Deadhead, Green Crack and Fruit Loops and they are all on point so I have that too
I have all the clones I took off into early flower and I think this next harvest just before Thanksgiving is going to be much better and I got seeds on order (white widow, Jack Herer, and power plant) and once I harvest Blue Dream I am scrubbing that room top to bottom!!

Thank you! I was so bummed but then was like well it happens and I have plenty of smoke for a hot minute. I just harvested Blue Dream a couple of days ago and she is still hanging to dry but there definitely is not much there. She was right next to the Hermie so I’m gonna say she probably got the most pollen. Uggh she was the one I was most looking forward to.

Blue Dream is dried and Jarred and as suspected she had the least amount of bud I’m sure due to being next to the seeding culprit
Trim Jar= 8grams
Bud Jar=11 grams
Super bummed on that but still paid less for her than if I were to have purchased 19 grams
I have her clone in flower right now and she looks great so that’s my other light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you DD! I have taste tested all and all have been on point and do the job quite well! The others have been curing in the jar since the 26th and they are really getting stinky in the good way and even more potent then they were when I first tested them. All have thankfully been smooth and the taste is good too although I really need to get some more glass pipes because I prefer to smoke the different strains out of different pipes so I can really get the flavor profile. Looking forward to the full cure to see the full results because I am truly thankful to have done what I did. Also probably won’t use any of the seeds one reason is they were not viable looking(looked immature ) and they came from a clone that I had purchased that hermied on me at week 5 of flower which would make me too nervous to try and grow because it had hermied so easily. Still don’t know what happened there but the environment was right, there were no light leaks and the other girls were doing great. The Tony Stark that did Hermie was kind of a problem child from the get go.

I know what you mean! Few things are more satisfying than growing your own meds. It has really made me wonder at some of the rubbish I’ve paid for over the years. When you control all the inputs, then the dry and cure - best pot I ever smoked is my own.

Absolutely! The cost is rediculous at minimum $10/gram plus tax and that’s the bottom tier weed that’s seedy and quite a bit of the time makes ya cough like crazy. I’d much rather grow my own any day of the week! Being on disability it doesn’t leave a lot for medication but we can grow our own for a fraction of the cost and like you said have control over what goes on them, in them and dry and cure. Thanks again and only way to go is up from here.

Thank you! Wish they wouldn’t have been pollinated but it was a good learning experience and I’m stocked up for a good while.
