I would recommend not using that wire. It’s gonna cut into your plants stems. I would run out and get some rubber coated green wire specifically for tying down your plant. My last grow I went metal wire, then used my sons pipe cleaners, tried some yarn….. all cut into the plant eventually. The wire I’m using now with the rubber coating is working very well and hasn’t penetrated the main stem at all during my initial LST.
 
Also I saw a post about your pruning, there is so much contradicting information out there. You want leaves to promote photosynthesis…. But you also want to make best use of your plants energy. Ultimately it’s up to you, it’s your plant.

For me I kept the bottom third of my plant clear of new leaves and stems. I let everything grow up top. When it was flower time I strategically removed leaves to open more light to the bud sites. My goal was for my plant to not waste energy on new leaf growth and put it all into flower.

I ended up doing exactly what you are doing. I found some seeds, I threw them into the dirt, and the next thing you know I’ve been pretty set with smoke since October. I do not think I did a bunch of reading and everybody on here is a thought, they help a lot. But I did learn that it doesn’t have to be expensive. Me, I don’t have the money to spend like you’re talking about. I had to cut corners. I went to my local Ace Hardware and bought bonemeal and several others dry powder nutrients. I have one of the guys on here mentioned to me once about utilizing a product called roots organics. That shit is the bomb, it made everything change out of my garden it was already doing pretty well. It doesn’t have to be expensive man, you can find all types of horrible affordable nutes or you can spend big money. Both work I imagine as I have only done one grow. Roots is expensive but there is affordable nutes. Just give it a try. I used High-Yield fertilizers from Ace hardware. Here is my grow in a few pics.

You are rite,, If you do it in the dirt a simple blend of organic material ( compost, rotted manure , leaf mold , steamed bone meal, blood meal, You can use rabbit shit rite from the rabbit) make sure that the mix has good porosity and you can grow some very decent “WEEDS”...expensive nutrients will give increased yields but are not necessary for a successful grow. Just grow twice as many plants and your jars will be full.. Two Thousand years ago when man realized “ Hey we can get stoned on this stuff “” Mother Earth supplied all the plants needed, its only A weed
