First Grow - Bagseed

Day 10... The burn on the ends is because the plant grew into the light while I was at work and burnt the tips a little. Should be okay though.

Got a third set of leaves forming now...

Is the upward pointing growth normal??

when the fan leaves point up it usually means they are happy and want all the light they can get. you are doing things right IMHO.

"The problem is with my situation (very nosey and straight-edge roomates who would have no issue with being a snitch) "

there are several threads(google) with info on how to make carbon filters cheap. dont wait if you have a security problem.I really recommend you have your filter in place for the minute you need it. when they start to generate a smell the whole place will know in a matter of minutes. It might start when you are not home. I can also recommend you think about where you are going to dry and cure her. the smell is even stronger then. even when you just crack open your cure jars, I would do it outside if roomates are a problem.

Okay Day 12:

Can anyone help me here a little? First off, why are my leaves curled and special ed looking? Is this okay?

Second, Is that yellowing a bad thing? If you look on some of the leaves (not the ones burnt by the light when it grew into it) you can see some yellow speckling... Do I need to fix this?? Thanks in advance everyone!!

Also, it did get nodes finally, and they are green still...

plant is looking good, that burn is prolly some nute burn, not too much you can do about it with the mg soil. check out my first 12/12 grow. similar situations, I had one seed MG soil no nutes and a mix of 2 CFLS and the sun.

Although the growth seems steady... This curling/yellow is scaring me...

Am I starting to lean towards low survival rate? I am changing to 12/12 tommorow after a transplant to a 2.5 gallon pot and a new box with carbon filters. Is there anything I can do to help this process? I dont think you are ever suppose to fertilize MG time release but if so I only have some 15/30/15 all purpose MG fert.

Any suggestions? I am following the SeeMoreBuds watering guide so I dont think i am overwatering... I know the burns came from it growing into the light one day but I dont think that is a huge problem.

On its first two nodes, one is green throughout, one has a little yellow at the top.

any ideas?? Im worried about her.

And thank you for the comments Stizzle, your grow is EXACTLY what I am looking to do, makes me get a little confidence, and your right... it does seem like nute burn.

Is there anything I can do to help this? Would be be a good idea to mix half outside soil from a non-ferted garden with half MG? is this an okay thing to do?

I don't think flushing would help, actually may make it worse because it releases when it is wet. Maybe you can hold off on watering a little bit longer, but not to much. You can mix it in in hopes of diluting the MG a little bit but be careful with soil as it may have bugs and other little surprises in it. :peace:

be erie is right when i use mg with time release i gave her a good flushing and she allmost died on me so be carefull and use 1/4 str nute thro the whole grow.. it worked for me..:rollit:

hmm...
I just transplanted her into a 2.5 gallon pot. She doesnt seem to be doing great...
I dont like the look of the nodes at all, hard to see in this picture but they are around 1/3 brownish at the tips....

Guess we will see... I am going to tone back the watering a little to try to stop the nutes.

Maybe you can foliar with just PH balanced water too, that may help increase the time between waterings.. Just got to get it strong enough to be able to handle all the nutes in the soil. If you can make it through this it should be golden...:peace: Some seaweed may be in order too, pick some up next time you are at the store. It helps sick and stressed plants.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm def going to go grab some seaweed today.

I also switched them over to 12/12 today after 16 days of veg. Such a beautiful thing to see the timer work correctly haha :smokin:

Hopefully she can muscle through these little set backs... The new growth looks good and strong so I am staying optimistic. I am going to try the foliar H20 only and see how that works out because after all the input I have received it definitely seems there is a nute burn consensus.

I just cant wait till she gets big enough to handle it!

I also moved the lights a little bit away today, when look at all the other plants here it seems mine is one of the shorter ones... I have literally ZERO space between each new set of fan leaves... there is no stem in between haha.... I guess its due to me having the lights 1'' - 1.5'' away at all times... so I moved them to about 3 inchs now.

Thanks for everything fellas/ladies!!! Ill be back with more updates soon!

Figured I would throw these up here as well....

Long time no speak ladies and gentlemen. I have good news at least! Seems like she made it through the nute burn and has started to thrive!!

I switched her over to 12/12 on Jan 27th so this is day 11 of flower and she is looking alot better. Secondary growth, vertical growth and seems healthy to me!

A couple questions though if anyone has a moment...(pics at bottom)

1.) should I cut off the necrotic leaves on the bottom? Can't see how they are of any use...

2.) Any signs of sex anyone catches yet?? ( I know im digging deep here but cant blame me for asking :smokin: )

3.) Is it natural for the stem to almost corkscrew out of the ground? I dont have a decent picture yet of it but it almost takes a 90 degree bend from out of the soil, only exposed after watering when the soil gets a little flatter.

All comments and criticism welcome too!

Here come the pictures:
