Wow, incredible garden.Ok so I been slacking on updates but the last girls r harvested and trimmed and all together it was about 16-18 ozs, I don’t remember exactly but I was happy with it, this next batch I have a couple new girls in there so it’s pretty exciting lol first is the John lemon from irie genetics and she is smelling like dank lemon candy, looking forward to trying her, but I’m thinking she will b a 10 weeker at least, she was put into flower 12/9 so she is just over 6 weeks and has awhile to go I thinkthen is a cherry Paloma from raw genetics, I haven’t ran her before butI got her as a clone from friends at a cannabis event so sheis dank and looking frosts af and she got put into flower 12/20 I believeand next is a double cherry indigo I’ve ran a few times but this will b the last, she has a really good smell but just not sticky and juicy like I’m looking for but she is a pretty fast finisher, she was put into flower 12/11and I also have 2more John Lemon I was gonna toss but I tossed them in the flower tent instead, then some bud shotsand this is the little tent I just put into flower today, it is 2 “MK ultra x(ox x sour bubble)” on the left and a cherry paloma in the middle and 2 “Pam x(testarosa x black lime reserve)” on the right, and one on the left also, the cherry Paloma is the only for sure female so let’s see how many make the cut, one of the Pam crosses stink’s so good I really hope it’s a female
That’s tru, the only days off my lights have ever had is like a month when I was getting ready to move lol if I have light hitting the floor I just plant something elseYou never seem to take a break Smoke! Fantastic work.
Do the lights in your tents run every day for 365 days a year? Just curious.
Don’t feel bad, I’ve been feeling crazy and popping a lot more reg beans and my track record lately ain’t great lol the last few runs I’ve planted 9 reg seeds from all different breeders and only 2 females total, I have 5 I just flipped to flower a day ago so let’s hope I get better luck this time lol and winters r cold and windy as hell out here lolnot entirely true GDB, I heard he takes every damn leap year off… what a slacker
Storm, your tent is always a treat, somehow you manage to source some crazy shite like I’ve never heard a tenth of the strain names or breeders you come up with and yet you kill it. every. dang. time. It’s like next level gear consistently.
hey, scored some wedding cake while back and found 3-4 hidden beans; loved, loved, loved that pheno - anywho waterboarded 2 out of 3 were male, finally caught a girl… she’s sitting fat and happy at 2 weeks of flower!
hows winter in the big state of CO?
Congrats Amigo.I chopped down my double cherry indigo today so I got in there and got some pics of the 2 girls late into flower
First is the girl that got the chop, and she is super frostythen is the John lemon coming down in a week or 2there is also a cherry Paloma a week and a half behind, I’ll get pictures tomorrow
Hey sorry for the delay, but at work we r 100% from clone, they want consistency so we buy new clones sometimes but we have around 40 strains in the mom room, at about 20 moms per strain, and I’m pretty sure the licensing goes by square foot not plant count, in Colorado anyway, for IPM it’s a 3 man crew and we get daily emails when they r spraying and we gotta get out before that, they have all kinds of equipment I have no idea what it is, they put signs on all the doors when they spray with when and what they spray and what time we can enter the greenhouse, we lose plants occasionally, we run 5 greenhouses with 24 benches in each with 50 plants per bench in flower so we lose plants all the time, but it’s more due to viruses and not pests, some aphids pop up now and then but they take care of them when they spray, and they do soil drenches for root aphids and stuff, there is always some fungus gnats if u look hard enough, and unfortunately harvest is strictly on a schedule, they don’t look at the trichomes or anything, much to my disapproval lol but we have recently moved more to hang drying and hand trmming so that’s a plus rather than wet bucking and drying on sheet pans then trimming in like a tumbler thing like they were, but like most commercial weed in CO the dry is where is all goes wrong, it’s so dry here and the corporate type just don’t get how important that dry/cure is, and even if they do understand, they try to take shortcuts so it’s always dry af, we definitely can’t smoke at work but they put the parking lot outside the security fence so we can smoke in our cars, and we can’t take anything or sample anything ever, it’s all so regulated, even when we r destroying stuff they can’t give it to us, and we have to make it unsalvageable before we throw it out, like just yesterday we had 2 cases of resin cartridges we had to destroy because we couldn’t track it for some reason, so we had to make some cement and put them in the wet cement, the shit is wild it makes me laugh sometimesHey Storm,
Your garden is fantastic as per usual. Those leggy sativas blow me away it’s like one needs a stretchy transformer light that expands from floor to ceiling. I can pull off the occasional hybrid sativa plant but seems like the closer to landrace genetics- the quicker I run into trouble.
Whereas you on the other hand are way skilled at growing any kinda of strain and every kind of strain. Dude- you just nail it, like every plant- like every dang time!!! You must have green thumbs as well as green toes. It’s really not fair
Had a few questions… but please don’t feel pressured to write a book, no rush either I know you stay busy.
what percent of plant count comes from clone moms versus starting from seed?
what kind of ipm gear and how often?
do you guys ever lose part of crop for pests?
what do you go by for harvest indicators? based on pistils or trichs?
when it’s harvest time does that whole strain group come down at once or is it more staggered on timing? like take the early birds and give the others more time to ripen kinda deal?
how long of a hang time?
what new tricks have you learned?
are there any old tricks you’ve given up?
but most importantly can you partake at work?
and do you get to take your work home for sampling?
alright, gonna roll but I do appreciate your skillz man!
