First Ever Grow: DWC With Remo Nutes & Ethos Seeds

Quick question about root rot.. I had some brown stuff in my roots where they were bunched up today. Plants was a little droopy this morning.

If it was root rot, would it just rinse off by splashing water on it? Or is root rot generally more stubborn? Cause my roots look good just that brown stuff on the roots. It wasn’t slimy really. I know it says it’s usually slimy. All the brown came off just by splashing water on it.
 
If it came right off it's not root rot. It's probably a bacteria which still is bad. Try Z7 or Hygrozyme in the Rez and see if it clears up. Those 2 products are enzymes that will keep your system clean.

Here’s a couple of pics of the brownness. Not sure what you figure it is. I didn’t think it would be root rot if it washed off. I did just get my z9 but I just changed the res and I don’t know if it’s good to add that stuff to the res with roots in it already.

Ok maybe when I go down to check ph in half hour I’ll toss some in. Will be pretty hard to measure 2 ml lol.

I also should add I removed the verokelp from the feeding just in case. It’s a brown product so I figured what the heck might as well leave it out and see

The site I ordered z9 from sent it to me and it was partially frozen. The bottle says right on it “do not freeze this product” so needless to say I wasn’t impressed.

Flying skull said it will only diminish its effectiveness a small amount.

Pennywise turned me on to this product Z7 my cloner and my neighbors dwc are clean . All the dead algae is in the bottom of the bucket !
 
Ok I put in 4 ml for about 5 gallon and it looks fine. A little more bubbly on top than before if anything.

I’m wondering when I should top this lady. The height isn’t growing much it’s more growing out and growing new shoots under the big fan leaves.

I know this is mainly personal preference. I want to top to fill out the tent better. It’s my first go at it so I guess I need to do it to learn better how the plants will react.

Oncce I top, it should focus more energy growing outwards correct?
