First DWC SOG Hydro Run - Blue Cheese & Critical Kush

A litle things about me . i have grown only on soil till now my first run was an unknown strain seed i found on some medium to low quality weed here some pictures

So as the title says i am trying to do an indoor sog, plants have been grown from seed into soil for the first month growth was very slow and the ph constantly at 7.4 -7.2 no mater what i did it will not come down. So after research i picked up some advance nutrients expert grower nut's i made a diy dwc with 1 gal buckets and hydroton and what you know the plants exploded at 1/4 strength nutrients now i am on 10th day after switch to hydro and at almost 5 weeks from seed i also had a 20 watt cfl until yesterday i have now switched to a 400watt mh on an aero tube fixture 10inches from the top of the plants temperature on the canopy is 28f ph was at 6.8 had to adjust it to 5.8 i don't know why the ph perfect don't work for me although the water was filtered rain water at a ph of 6 maybe its because i am on 1/4 strength maybe its time to go on 1/2? temperature of the grow space was fluctuating between 20-25 humidity to between 40-60 foliar feed was applied 2 times a day 1/8 strength grow micro bloom b-52 here is where i am today

37 days from seed and plants have EXPLODED!



roots have doubled with voodoo juice



today i mixed a half strength solution of nutrients and vuala! ph perfect technology worked ph is at 5.9
temperature unchanged at 25c. i also added
a humidifier cause rh was dropping to the 40%s cause of the metal halide cooling fan its at 50% now



there is an issue with wet betty that big mike will not tell you it mess up the air stone bubbles thank god i have a strong air pump

today i think was time to top the ladies but i really could not do it maybe next week.

46 days have passed since those plants were seeds although the critical has seen huge growth blue cheese sufered an insident of co2 over fert and has been shocked

this critical does not want to get a bit taller leaves are stacked one over the other bigger than my palm

here is a pic of this monsters roots

they currently drink 250-500ml of water every day.
i was planing on cloning the inner nodes but seen they have get to thick i will clone the inner nodes of the inner nodes hopefully next week.

i removed the dead top growth and topped the bluecheese main top at 80% one week later we see it growing 3 main tops the critical kush was normally topped and grow'd 2 main tops but allot faster than the 3 tops of the bluecheese and it seems that if time is what your after you better stick with normal topping but if time isn't an issue you can grow a maximum yielding plant if topping 80%.

8 weeks from seed and the plants are growing steadily they suck up half a liter water everyday we took clones today nutrients are still on half dose some past burns from underfert are present from 4 days ago but now its all good.

9 weeks from seed the plants are on autopilot growing and growing some of the clones show roots i am still waiting on the others to poot everything on the flower cycle

10 weeks have passed a big milestone next week i will turn everything to flower there is no more room for the mothers to grow scrog for them is out of the question space wise. seems half dose nutrients is a healthy dose that keeps my plants happy i moved the ladies in 3 gallon buckets cause i was tired of having to worry about the ec and adding water everyday seems a gallon is baseline for medium plants and you need at least 2 gallons of water for big plants. all the clones have rooted, i really don't get how can you fail on this they all developed strong roots and are moved to there 2x 7 gal flower container mother and clones are now fed with half strength nutrients.

on side notes i have the air pumps running 24/7 i also switched from mh to hps on the 3rd week for 1 week to promote side growth and stretching to get the clones that worked out fine after that i switched to mh again until week 10 plants were topped once accidentally or not and retoped one more time as necesary to keep them low.

12 weeks from seed 1 week into flower 12 weeks total the mother plants are sucking half a gallon of water every day bolth females as expected from feminised seeds small hairs have started to develop the plants are almost 3 feet tall clones are 1 feet tall. i am now running
2 400watt hps and 1 400w mh next week a 600 watt hps will be added to supplement light above the mother plants for a total of
1800 watt on a 4m2 space

2nd week of flowering and the plants have developed small flowers the clones are shooting up and all the plants together are releasing 1 1/2 gallons of water into the atmosphere everyday we are now at foul nut strength on the mother plants and half strength on the clones

maybe anyone knows what this leaf damage is?

Its been really hard for me keeping this journal up considering all this lack of support 0 replies etc.

on side note i changed airstones today cause the previous ones were cloged up also installed the final 600watt hps so i am now totaling 1800watt with 2x 400 watt hps 1x 600 watt hps 1x 400watt mh . chears!

Did a good job I'm growing from seed as well and did a LST then FIM all the tips that were exposed during the LST I am experiencing a slow in growth not sure what exactly is the issue but could be several things I just fixed a major heat problem,the LST and FIM stressed my plant or something is up with my feeding not to sure but eliminating issuse 1 by 1
