First CFL Grow Using 30 Watt CFLs

i was thinking more isle of wight, i loved living their, just no jobs and everybody smokes weed and i mean everybody, parents their parents nans and grandads, it was like a big free for all, even the police turned a blind eye to small grows, even gave you bud back if they searched you, unless you was with someone young, as long as you was over 18 they just gave it you back, but when each village only had 2 coppers and their all part of the freemaisons they was pretty laid back, my moms probably on her way past yours about now, she is taking my kids away for a week, she should be past the m25 in about 45min,

im really hoping i got it all sorted mate, thanks for coming and having a look, ill try and put pictures up tomorrow but my mom got her camera back for the holiday so im back to the phone, ill see what i can do, so rubbery leaves is lack of water, they was very very tough, a healthy leave i can put my finger nail through and it breaks off, these where like trying to break and elastic band, just wasnt happening,
 
Yer I noticed it years ago that old/unwanted leafs just snap easy, and the thristy ones just become rubbery and tear the stulk if you try to pull them off.

Also I couldn't live on IOM I have a 500bhp car and love my motorcycles........a 20mph speed limit over the whole isle would piss me off lol


as for your plants your find a way of growing to your liking then dial it in, next grow your have pest control down and watering schedule ect. It just takes time and some trail and error.

I seem to have few troubles now days, I keep my tent sealed with my girlfriends old tights on the intake, have sticky paper hanging, got enough fans/venting to keep my room at a good RH/temp and just spend most of my time looking at plants rather then doing anything.

If i could recommend anything to help you it would be get a tent or make a sealed grow room with venting. it helps so much with pest control and heat/RH, you can control it a lot easier but we all start somewhere and I know what it's like to have kids and have to prioritize money output. (I want some airpots for my wilma but cant afford them with nursery each week)
 
i here ya, thanks for the advice, i could vent out of the room, it is an built in drying cupboard so it has a heater in the back that i dont use and a vent in the top wall, but without knowing if my home made carbon filter works i dont really want to vent out of that and risk stinking the whole block out, a tent would be good but the problem is anyone who came in my flat would see it, at the moment im using a built in cupboard in the hall, in fact i have got three of these cupboards, 2 for drying clothes in and 1 for the gas meter, sorry i got 1 more with the boiler in, their all the same size, 3ft by 3ft and floor to ceiling high, so im using one of these at the minute, its a bit cooler today so had the door shut most of the day, just opened it to give them a breather and fan some fresh air through,

everything looks healthy, no signs of flies, none on the fly paper or anywhere else, i may have some hatching out of the soil but i think by the time this crops done they wont have done much damage, then i can start again, im not sure if putting the compost in the oven is a good idea, dont it kill the good stuff in the soil as well.

ive heard people do it though use the oven to eliminate any bug problems, ill probably go with the DE stuff and put a bit on top of my pots,

i woke up today with major tooth ache and a big lump on the side of my face where the tooth is, i gota say its worse than giving birth, well to me it is, it is killing, if i move my head it hurts, i got no bud to smoke, i got mission 10miles by bike to my moms cuz i left my wallet their, so dosing up on some pain killers, and gota go on a mission to fetch my wallet cuz i got no cigs, its killing, how many pain killers is it safe to take, ive double dose all ready and it aint touched it, i feel like taking the whole box, i would try diy dentistry but it s the tooth right at the back of my mouth, dont think id get to it with some pliers, self extraction i think would be very painfull without anything to numb the pain first, plus i think you can get blood poisening if i got a absys, so cant even get it sorted out till the swealing gone down, looks like i ate a golf ball,
 
wow the hits just keep comming dont they? well atleast the plants feel good and I hope soon you will too! pulling your own teeth sucks but it sure does feel good when its over. hope it dosent come to that. get some help my freind as soon as you are able:circle-of-love:
 
thanks for your concern mate, i took a load of pain killers and it has eased the pain a lot so ill try and get to dentist tomorrow, but they wont do anything if you have an absys as it can give you blood poisening if they pull a tooth and the absys bursts, so they will give me some antibiotics till its gone, i just took the dog for a swim now i got to go and pick my wallet up from my moms,

my flat is starting to stink real bad, and i mean really really bad, i gota start getting some odour control in here, ive got all doors and windows open, but with this heat its making them stink, im not even sure if having the fan on the plants is making them smell worse, ive turned it off and just using the 12v fan at the minute, so odour control is my next problem, i gota get it sorted else im gona get busted, everyone round here smokes it so its not like people dont smell it all the time, but if its smells constant people might start asking questions, everyone is ok round here so dont think they would say anything, but you never know, why take the risk, so im off to my moms then im coming back to try and sort this smell out
 
The thing is people can tell burning weed (smoking) and fresh weed (growing) so be careful, round here you would get raided and robbed if the hood rats round here knew you have weed.

and even more so since weed round here is a minimum of £10 a gram and some even selling @ £20 for 1.2g.

I feel for you with the tooth, it happened to me when I was in france, 7 days away then 4 days at home on antibios before they removed my tooth. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. feel better mate
 
thanks, big pappa i have made a small carbon filter, but i think its to small for the job, its running off 12v computer fan at the moment, ill see how it goes, if not ill either build a bigger filter using the link you provided or try getting some ona and using a big bucket and 12inch fan, i gota do something.

the kids round here are thick as pig shit, they wont tell the difference,

my tooth ache is ok as long as i dont close my teeth together, i think the absys is pushing the tooth up so when i try to eat it pushes against my other teeth and kills, im hoping the swelling will go down soon, cuz i hate tooth ache, its had me in crying before its been that bad, but a bit of diy dentistry is my plan if the dentist wont help, pain killers are doing ok for now, so ill see what happens tonight.

id love a nice bit of bud to smoke, its a bit of a wounder when you know you got bud growing and cant touch none of it till its ready, but hey thats life, its all a big waiting game
 
If you have access to wheat grass it can help with your absys and tooth. Take like a 1-2ounce shot and hold it in your mouth in the area where the tooth is for about 1-2 minutes. It can help bring down swelling and act as a natural antibiotic. Its also super healthy for your body when ingested. :D And for the smell, I am in a 1br apt and i burn about 4 incense a day and when im on top of it the smell isnt so bad, and thats with all my plants I have! LOL
 
thanks big pappa, i have been using incense sticks but ran out, i had cherry smell and banana and all that so ill go to the discount store and try and get some more, the usually have them in our 99p stores so ill have a look tomorrow,

for my tooth i have been using clove oil, its really fowels and tastes like crap and it cant be swallowed but it does the trick, but its like have petrol in your mouth it really is that bad, but you only need a tiny amount on cue tip or cotton bud as we call them and dab it on the tooth and it gets to work, but you end up dribbling all over the place cuz its tastes so fowel, you certainly wouldnt eat or drink anything after putting that in your mouth, its called clove oil or oil of cloves, so if you ever have tough ache get some it works instantly, but dont swallow none its real bad stuff, but its an anasetic and numbs what ever it touches, as long as you can put up with it burning you mouth to pieces and numbing everything it touches, plus you stink after so if you went out you would get some funny looks
 
ill see if i can get some of this wheat grass, i take it its something you can buy,

bigpappa ill see what incense i can get tomorrow, they usually sell them in assorted smells, you normally get 10 sticks per smell and 6 packs so it gives me 60 incense sticks 10 of each smell, but ill see what they got when i get their in morning,
 
tell me about it, the clove oil is stinky stuff, but it works problem is you gota sit their dribbling for about an hour before you do anything, and i do mean dribbling, after i use it i have to stand at the toilet or sink dribbling away, it really is that bad, it numbs the mouth pretty good, and if you accidently swallow then it numbs you throat as well, god knows who came up with the idea or even decided to try it, i mean how did they find out, did someone say go find me the most foul smelling nose burning stuff you can find so i can put it on my damaged tooth and see if it works, well it did work, shame it taste so foul, theirs the liquid stuff and now they do a gel, so i got the gel thinking they may have refined it a bit and brought it out the stone age, so i put big dollop on my finger and stuck it in my mouth, then it reminded me why i should of used a tiny spec of it and not a pea sized amount,
 
well, ive woke up looking like the elephant man, i cant close my mouth, i got huge lump the size of a tennis ball on the one side of my mouth, its killing me, the lump is huge, so not going to go anywhere today looking like this, plus it hurts to move my head, im in so much pain its unreal, even oil of cloves aint touching it,

Me..i would be at the emergency rm at the hospital..never no what complications may pop up...take care of yourself...your Doc's med should have taken that swelling down by now...have it checked out,,,(soon as possible)
 
mate told you it aint fun, just make sure if you start feeling off key go to the GP. blood poisoning is deadly once it takes hold.

chances are it'll burst before you get it looked at just be ready to puke when u get a mouthful of puss :thumb: once it bursts it wont hurt half as much. oh yer and aim away from the plants lol
