Feral's Journal Of Insanity & Some Growing

The new room will have a 26 000 btu AC. I only need about 18 000 btu. A bit overkill but I got it for a reasonably good price. It's reconditioned, but hopefully it gives me a few good years.

Congrats on the harvest Cannoisseuras! :goodjob:

How is the high?

anything that occurs in nature cannot be unnatural!

Unknown Strain From Seed - First Time Grow

The high is not bad, not too much of a body stone, really heady but can still function, a great daytime smoke :thumb:

Better off getting something a little bigger now than having to upgrade down the track, will probably find you will need it with the extra temps from lighting etc :thumb: I think once i have mine up and running i will be in there all day during summer, just to keep out of the heat

:cheesygrinsmiley: Not a bad idea. Maybe throw in a bean bag and a telly. Would make for an interesting man cave.

Thats it mate :) im actually not going to be using much of the space for growing, i want a big open section in the middle so i can work, be able to pull plants out and defol, come harvest time be able to sit my trimmer in the middle of the room and get to work etc, i also plan on having some nice desk space for mixing nutes, collecting pollen, extracts, and a bar fridge to keep all my genetics stored :thumb: defo need enough space to hang a hammock and a flatscreen tv

LOL! Don't forget to leave some space in that fridge for beers.

Having space to work is important. I'm used to a tiny room with a 5 x 5 tent taking up most of the space in it. Not ideal. Crawling around in there like a dwarf in a mine.

Where's the invite? :laughtwo:

I think this is whats in heaven waiting for us.

 yeah defo need space for drinks

I plan on running roughly about the same size flower area i am now, little bit bigger but spread along a wall instead of a 5x5 box, definitely a mission crawling around them to get up the back of the tent  im aiming for 3 spaces for flower, 1mx1m each with a 315w LEC in each, will flower out one plant under each light in a perpetual style like now. Veg area will be 2m x 1m and the breeding area will have smaller sections so i can do multiple strains at the same time :thumb:

:high-five:

Where's the invite? :laughtwo:

 everyone will be welcome, if they know where to look  will be my secret laboratory lol, already thinking my main doors to get in will be a bookcase with a book you pull as the handle, kinda like the old scooby doo hidden tunnels

That's what I wanted to ask you... how are you isolating your males? Aren't you worried about accidental pollination? I would love to try my hand at a little breeding. Nothing fancy. Purely for fun, but I'm too shit scared I end up with a seeded crop.

Males will not drop any pollen while in veg, only when they go to flower, they stay in my veg tent till im ready to use them for pollination :thumb: When pollinating i make sure its the last thing i do of a night so that im not tracking the pollen back into the other tents, once everything is done i use a sprayer with clean water to mist around the room to kill off any lingering pollen, even give myself a spray down  water will kill any active pollen, once pollinated you can even foliar the plants after a few days to get rid of any excess pollen and move them to the flower tent if you wish, i just leave them all in the pollen tent so it doesnt matter :thumb:

Always wanted a bookcase door, this seems perfect

Roof access could be a bit of a pain getting in and out all the time, unless you get an attic ladder, was actually looking at one of them and putting my system in the roof but height is an issue ;)

Like Mission Impossible? Nice...

:high-five:

That sounds logical. I've just heard some horror stories about entire grow ops ruined. Think I will wait a while before I tackle that. For now, my focus has to be on getting the perpetual grow running smoothly.

Depending on construction of your house you should be able to pull air directly from the wall cavity and exhaust it the same way :thumb: Most double brick homes will have vents already in the walls and a cavity between the two rows of brick, Single skin homes running gyprock internals will have a cavity and weepholes where it can draw and expel air, both to prevent mold and damp issues in the walls :thumb: single skin you will only be able to use the perimeter walls as internal divider walls will be timber studs/top plates etc

Worst word in the building trade, manholes
