:rofl: nice one Ditch :) she is going to get a good cut back one of these days :rofl: its been too hot to do anything really, need to change out the res for 24k tonight and was planning on cutting out my Sour Male but i just cant be bothered :rofl: have to do at least one thing and i think the flowering girls are most important :) thanks bro :thumb:
 
Thanks mouser ;) yeah he is a great looking plant but i have an already rooted clone which will go into soil, will also take a couple more clones :thumb: after seeing how much pollen i got from a small clone, its overkill having such a big male around and pretty much done with what i need from him for now :) collected even more tonight lol
The girl in flower i cant bring myself to bend her over :rofl: i should be able to lift the light a little more, maybe a couple of inches, moved a couple of branches tonight anyways which has made it a lot better already :thumb:

Yeah mate, back building is the process of snipping some of the hairs off the tip of a bud, makes the plant think that it has reached its maximum space and promotes all growth to the lower nodes :thumb: When talking buds there are basically as many nodes as you can see calyxes so essentially what it is doing is pushing new growth from the calyxes, if each one grows another flower then think of the cluster ;) essentially what we are doing is forcing the plant to foxtail, if only done a few weeks out from harvest you wouldnt really notice much foxtailing but definitely notice swell :thumb:

I dont do any foliars ;) all feeding gets done in the res :thumb: Going back a couple of years i was using Dutch Master Liquid Light and Penetrator, that stuff made them reach for the light really well, actually made the fans stand right up towards the light like Sour D did under CMH :) I could probably get even more out of my plants with foliars but tbh im already run off my feet with the processes i carry out now :rofl:

Thanks bro ;) surprisingly there is not much smell at all, Sour D probably overpowers the others, fans are almost running flat out with the heat though :thumb: If you touch them though thats a different story, c99 has almost exact smell as my outdoor girl, hard to explain but its a real fresh smell, fruity but cant put my finger on what fruit lol. Sour D i thought would smell a lot more, after touching her when moving the yoyos its a full on smell, can smell a bit of lemon but more fuely, bit of resin on my fingers and it was almost oily and greasy, not like the full on glue im used to on the others, still very sticky ;) cant even smell 24k right now, once she throws a few pistils out i think she will take over, still have not taken any clones from her yet :rofl:

I am :) 2x 315w in Flower, 400w MH in Veg, 130w 2700k CFL in the pollen tent :thumb:
 
:rofl: its a bit like that but i dont mind lol, with the backbuilding it will come down to personal preference, i dont do it as i dont really need to, i kinda get the same results from defol and its already a major task trimming up 10oz from a plant :rofl: if your plants are smaller than planned i could see a benefit in backbuilding just to push a bit more yield from them :thumb:

I.just found out my Afghan Kush is a male. I already have pollen saved from that exact strain. Sucks

Ah man, sux to hear, how is this pheno compared to the last male pheno? might still be worth collecting a bit of pollen from him too or could mix the pollen so there will be more variance to the seeds created with it ;) Once i have my breeding right underway i will be using pollen from multiple males of the same strain, will end up with a lot more possibilities from the offspring and wont be as badly inbred if doing any back crossing :thumb:
