Ah well life goes on, none of the purple hair seeds but I have more of the others. I'll try them at a later stage. Awesome dude, i'll make sure to check it out! Yeah these seeds were 100% germ rate so hopefully they all come up through the soil :thumb:
 
That's it mate, you win some, you lose some ;) Hopefully you will find something amazing in the others to make up for the loss :) Going to get something setup later and hopefully works out well, wont be dropping any of dads seeds straight in yet though, will do a test run with a strain i have a lot of seeds from :thumb: If it works as well as i think it will it may end up being the way i germinate everything from here :)

I tried everything on over 100 of my origanal super skunk seeds and while a few even cracked not 1 tap root:(

Thanks mate ;) ive tried just about everything with these seeds, I'm down to the last 7 so i cant stuff around with them anymore :thumb: If you check out Duke Diamond from Brothers Grimm on Instagram you will see what I'm talking about, using a heatmat, glass jar half filled with water, air line and stone running into the jar and then the seeds are dropped in, Basically seed soak on steroids with all the agitation helping to open these tough shells :)
 
Last night ended up being a big one, i didn't end up grabbing any pics, was planning on it today before lights went out but i slept all day after being up all night :rofl: Main focus was to clean out the cloner, to do that i had a big list of things to do before i could even attempt it. First up i had to make space in the Pollen Tent for the Jillybean clones in the cloner, these are just going to be a pheno hunt so i don't need any pollen floating around right now, Cindy Haze had to go :thumb: before i got rid of him completely i collected one last round of pollen in my jar for the last few plants ive just added in there, then sprayed him down with water, cut him up into a bag and threw him in the bin ;) Next to go was Sour Diesel, looks so good, did grab pics but will add them to tonights updates. Everything else in the pollen tent got moved around, the 5 jillybeans then got potted up in coco and fed, the pollen tent was then closed up. So now in my cloner i had 3 clones, a Bruce Banner which has just started rooting and a clone of each Silver Mountain, i moved them all to one end to make space for more clones, i then took the reservoir in for a clean, thinking about it now it has been a good month or two since i have cleaned it, only been topping it up with water, noticed they were taking longer than normal to root :rofl: Once it was all up and running again, i took 3 clones from Gorilla Bomb, I then cut the rest of her right back so i can hopefully get this pest spray done. Next up was the Strawberry Diesel x Space Dudes, took 3x clones from each of them too so i can run them in the flower tent next run and work out which one i want to keep, definitely thinking #2 :) Next up i cut out Delicious Candy male and replaced it with my Lost Coast Sour D. After all this i then had to feed the vertical walls, parent plants, check PH on all DWC's etc, cant wait to take pics tonight, should be a relatively early one this time :)
So Next run will be 12 plants under a 315w in roughly a 2.5' x 4' area of my flower tent, first 3 strains will be Gorilla Bomb and the 2 Strawberry Diesel x Space Dude phenos, not sure on what the other one should be yet but id love to hear what you guys would like to see run from what i have here :thumb:

I have lost so many i have lost count, some have been some amazing crosses ill never see again from breeders etc which hurt the most, esp when you have paid for them hehe ;) I think my main germination issue is too much water in the medium most of the time, this new way I'm going to try should solve that by the amount of air that will be pumped through the water :)

Yeah i couldn't believe how long i had been going at it till i looked at the time :rofl: I was thinking maybe the Bruce Banner, Got the one in the cloner i could pretty quickly turn into 3 :thumb: just have to try get it done for when Rollex is harvested :)

I germinate my seeds just by putting them in a glass of water. I do have to day that works pretty good for me. But well, most of the seeds I buy aren't that expensive or not that rare so it's okay for me. I think.
 
I find the best way to germinate seeds is straight in soil and water it in like nature intended, just some need some extra attention :) i have been soaking them in shot glasses lately but finding a lot of the older seeds take so long the water turns bad and seeds die off :thumb:
 
Only leave in shot glass no longerthan 24 hours.. it's like you can drown them if leave to long. I then put onto wet towel until cracked, just so I know what the seeds are doing before being planted..
 
Mine stay in till they crack, usually can see a little air bubble attached to the seed after they sink ;) usually only takes less than 24h to crack anyways its just these stubborn ones lol, with the other method in the jars they at constantly moist and have plenty of air so can stay in there right up till ready to plant :thumb:

Banner is currently in the pollen tent getting hit with Cindy Haze, will be in the next round too which will probably end up being Purple Urkle or if these face off seeds hurry the f up and get here will be one of them ;) Candy got chopped out, he wont be used, will find a good fem in the seeds i have here when i get around to it, so many others to do first :thumb: got a bit of time to decide anyways as i want to do the jillybeans in the tent first ;)

Been checking out a few grows of the Bruce banner and it looks good. Nice long buds. All looking good as always Feral.
 
Man the smell that the banner throws off is awesome :) that's not even in full bloom yet either :thumb: I'm going to take my Strawberry Cough Male and put it over my best Strawberry Diesel x Space Dude, then find a good male in that mix to put over the banner, should be awesome :)

I do the glass soak for 24 hours put the ones with tails in soil and any that haven't cracked yet in a paper towel or back in the glass with fresh water and soak them for another 24 then the paper towel for a week if nothing the unopened seed goes into one of the large potted plants about a finger depth down so it stays moist with a little piece of tape on the pot with a note about it I had a seed come up after 6 weeks once. Did you try the GA3 yet? I can verify that it at least didn't hurt anything

Yep yep :) I should do since I've been reading up about SSS grows and their stuff seems pretty legit. Make some nice crosses :thumb: I hope your dad's seeds pop, these old seeds man. They're tough to crack :rofl:
