Feral's Journal Of Insanity & Some Growing

That's what I mean, you do what four of us do, I can't hardly keep track of what you got flowering and vegging, and your girls are always tip top condition.

Thanks mate ;) kinda wish i had more running in flower  tbh though it is a lot of work, just needs to be spread out over the week, even the workload, becomes a lot more hectic around harvest time though keeping on top of everything else :thumb: almost ready to start taking clones from the vertical wall and throw them in the pollen tent to see what I'm working with :)

Combat, i tried with the autopots last time but they drove me nuts always getting clogged up and never being sure if the girls had all fed equally

Yeah I must admit I do have problems myself, they were a real heartache at times my last grow with being clogged up. I took my trays out last night and scrubbed them in the sink so I'm hoping they will last the 2 months without getting clogged up.

They say the problem lies with using organic nutes. I use the canna coco range and rhizotonic is derived from seaweed, and canna bloom is derived from marine algae, so I'm fairly sure it's these two that are causing the problem. I've yet to find a good mineral based substitute for these two products.

They were not terrible when using just the gold label range but when i added green planet liquid W8 then it got real sticky in those pipes! proper pain in the arse cleaning em out but they had to be scrubbed a few times - using green planet finisher on top of the W8 this time so that wudda been double messy

plus part of me wonders if the gravity pot system ends up messing the delicate ph balance - there's always a residue left on the bottom of the tray when they run dry and i am reckoning that when the carefully made up ph exact fresh nutes get run into the bottom of the tray that residue will get mixed in and upset the ph balance - haven't gone so far as to test this theory but reckon it is likely

I think they are having a few problems on site, jandre posted this link yesterday for anyone having issues :thumb:

What's crazy is my one phone will post but other won't it's crazy but there will always be time for pictures feral I am having some clawing issues on a couple plants I think I pushed it on the nitrogen but did a flush now hoping it will stop bc I want to flip them any ideas they are in soil both of us it's not our department so?? Don't know what to do if it was dwc so easy but soil takes forever to fix

Sounds like you are on top of it brother :thumb: id just do the flush like you have and keep an eye on them, should be right in a couple of days :thumb: so much easier and quicker in DWCs lol
I hate soil so much!! I am thinking about never running it again

So whats with too much n in flower? Does it hinder bud development? The only thing i remember reading about it that too much n in flower can leave a harsh taste but if you flush properly it takes care of the problem. Why do you not like soil?? Sounds like you may need some more patients if you want to keep up with soil bignugz.. haha

I have switched from a coco perlite mix to pure coco. Problems just seem to show themselves quicker and be corrected quicker than soil. I wouldn't dip my toe in the soil so to say, hope you get it sorted out brother :passitleft: blessings and positive vibes to you

 soil is ok in small doses  I still run it outdoors and most of my parent plants are in soil but is very easy to overcompensate fixing problems and creating more problems because of it, takes so long for shit to turn around, tbh with soil i wouldn't even bother unless you are running organic and cook your own soil :thumb: only reason i use it outside is because its a lot more forgiving if i don't water for a few days ;)

Im really thinking about running two DWC buckets

Go for it mate, you will not be disappointed :)

N in flower is only good for stretch in the early period, too much after this will lead to a toxicity and the plants will not grow to their full potential, too much N can also lead to the plant turning hermy in some longer flowering strains :thumb:

I'm loving the coco right now too, has allowed me to quieten down my grow room by not having to run the extra air pumps for the pollen tent but also still getting the awesome quick growth like i see in my DWC's :)

I think you should go for it brother once you get into the groove it is much easier

:high-five: :passitleft:
