FelipeBlu’s Outdoor Hempy Photos & Autos 2020

what is the range you're looking for and is it the water with the nutrients in it that you're measuring or the watering run-off after fertigating the plant?
I missed this second part of your question. Yes you are measuring the water before and after you add nutrients. I actually measure between each nute to make sure I'm on target until I get comfortable with my recipe.

Regarding levels. This is where it gets tricky. Different plants and different stages of growth change the levels you want to feed. There are some basics that we start with in each stage. As the plants begins as a seedling it requires very little initially so a very light dose. During the Veg cycle the plant has certain requirements, and they can change when you switch to the flower cycle. Even the Flower cycle has different needs between the stretch and the budding stages. I'm looking through my files to find the basic start point.

@felipe most likely has the base start numbers memorized. But I normally keep my Nitrogen around 100ppm. Phosphorus (P) around 50ppm. Potassium (K) around 130-150ppm. Magnesium around 50ppm and Calcium about 100-120ppm. The rest of the nutrients fall into line as you don't normally add them separately. @felipe please correct me if I'm off too far.

It might sound complicated but it's not and if you follow along with certain guidelines you will quickly catch on. @FelipeBlu has a long history of growing all types of plants. You should see some of his really tomatoes and strawberries.Yummy. So he has a wonderful grasp of what is needed to feed. He has been an excellent mentor for me just starting to grow Cannabis in the last three years.

This is the pH pen I use. It’s terrific.

Apera pH pen
I use the same device and love how quickly it measures and how accurate it stays between calibrations.

Thanks for the ego buffing, Brother BT!

This might be getting a little deep for HG. Since she’s using the GH Flora series, she should probably go with the feeding chart they provide. For seedlings, those nutrient levels are quite a bit lower than the values you mentioned, which would be more appropriate for main veg.

I like this. Great idea.

Following the feed chart on the bottle will get the job done, no doubt about it. What @BTzGrow is talking about is just getting a little more intimate with the specifics. General Hydroponics grow charts is for general plant growth across a broad spectrum of plants, with a robust and moderate dosage to feed most anything that can be grown hydroponically. Once you start filling the jars with smoke you'll be headed down a path of plant perfection and wellness.

pretty sure the gh chart is hot. i think my friend is running 1/2 dose in hp.

This is their recommended dose for seedlings = EC of 0.24

Doesn’t seem particularly hot to me.

And learning to read the plants is what it’s all about. See above in this journal. :hippy:

This is all I have left from tracking feeds during my last runs with GH flora series. I do know this was final weeks of bloom before flush. I was on a second run with the same clone and ended up with some solid nugs and good quality. I was using these numbers to help me dial in the MegaCrop once I switched. Just a little food for thought.

he's married to using gh. 20 odd yrs. . he runs the bottle chart at half feed. doesn't ph and doesn't track ppm / ec.
all plant read. i was never fond of gh.

i'm on mc myself now. stopped tracking ppm / ec a while ago.

That’s for the trio? 1.14 EC seems pretty low for bloom. I’m already at 1.3 at 5 weeks of veg, but I’ll likely stay near that for a while.

Yeah, GH is pretty expensive compared to MC.

i don't think he's running that chart at all. it's a ml / gal chart i think. he doesn't even use an extractor syringe ... just teaspoons / tablespoons etc .. :laughtwo:

Yeah this is truly the easiest way to grow for me. You literally can get down to a single scoop in a bucket of water and be growing very healthy plants with nothing else but that single product.
Sounds alluring.

I'm in...

All my best,

At the moment my bucket is holding 4 gr/gal of megacrop 2.0 and 1 gr/gal of Epsons and my meter was reading 940 ppm. Makes me want to cry sometimes...I guess I should use that stimulus money and get an RO set up.

Using RO sure stabilized my process of feeding.
