FelipeBlu’s Outdoor Hempy Photos & Autos 2020

True dat! When I did my side-by-side clone test they still hadn't worked out the correct amount for ProMix HP so I didn't get any benefits, and since then I haven't had room for another test. Turns out you need a lot more Vulx for HP than soil.
Someday maybe I'll have the space to try again.
That's interesting. I already added various rock dusts including paramagnetic to my soil, but I wonder if amending with a load more, volcanic or otherwise would help even further? Some of that soil in mountainous places like Nepal can be made up of a lot pretty rocky gritty stuff.

Good lawd!!! How much bigger are they going to get?!?!:eek:

And they’re only In about 4 gallons (BeBo2 and GLGA) and about 20 gallons (BeBo1) of perlite!

The trees that Sphnx was growing were in the ground (5.75 cubic yard holes full of good soil - worm castings, sea bird guano, carnivorous bat guano, fruit bat guano, composted chicken and cow manure, alfalfa compost, perlite, coco coir, fruit rind/peel compost, kelp compost, fox farm ocean forest, norcal red topsoil (for bacteria), mycelium, and added Mychorrizae), or in 2 cubic yard raised beds (with no bottom) of the same supersoil. Sounds like too much work - since I can’t easily get a backhoe in the yard.

I have really appreciated the mobility of the lightweight hempy during this grow (and no digging of big holes), and using MegaCrop instead of sourcing all of those exotic ingredients (which sound heavy).

I could easily carry BeBo2 around until I caged her - and even BeBo1‘s tub got pulled around a lot to keep her in direct sun.

My yard really isn’t suitable for large fixed plants like that anyway. My wife recently asked me something very much like you did lol. When I told her, she softly said “oh”. :laughtwo:

But I think this is the last time I grow one plant this big here. It isn’t my old hidden glades in the Colorado woods. I just wanted to see how big a hempy I could grow. I wonder if it’s going to be the biggest ever... :goof:

I can tell you that my Carnival in ProMix HP needs to be fertigated every other day in its 7 gallon pot. Two gallons a throw.

same same, in between days i’ll give ninja juice. I anticipate a flush of some sort as those salts can build up fast.

Do you think i can make it to flower with no flush of the salts?

This is why I have considered adding in vermiculite back into the system. I will attempt a side by side on my next flower run but will be watering it the same as the perlite (48 hours) just to see what's what. I do remember watering every 3 days at times when vermiculite was in the mix.

I found vermiculite to be amazing for making clones.

All your ladies are absolutely stellar! :bravo:
BeBo1 has sprinted 16” in the past 2 weeks (7” more since last Thursday)
She is really a beast now.
BeBo2 has only added another 4” in the last 7 days
While she may be in the shadows of BeBo1's massiveness, I really like her shape a lot.
GLGA has definitely added some height since last week
GLGA is may be this grow's sleeper. The BeBo's seem to get most of the attention, but GLGA is looking fantastic. :welldone:

Holy cow! Those are some gorgeous bushes there Felipe. Hempy is boss. Have a great weekend.

Wow - thank you for the kind words and praise! :thanks: It really means a lot to me coming from two such excellent outdoor growers!

It really comes down to the genetics - and Bomb Seeds really has a vigorous strain in the Berry Bomb.

I agree Luiz, and I love GLGA too! The green pheno (Gold Leaf dominant) of this cross is a particularly good herb for me. It kinda reminds me of a Jack Herer - a nice mix of non-racy euphoria and relaxing body feel, without any sleepiness on the downside. I’m glad this seed came out as a green - I will have enough purple with the BeBos, so the purple pheno (Grape Ape dominant) would have been somewhat redundant.

I woke up to this mob this morning. They look a little like aphids, but are much smaller. So little that I can’t really see the typical tailpipes. @Pterostychus hey buddy, can you tell what they are? Whatever - they got a dose of neem.

Wow! Lots of em!! Hope they’re ‘dealt with’ :)

Apart from them, things are looking spectacular!

bigger... :smokin:

Well for sure they need watering more often once they get big, especially outside. But still much less demanding for water than hempy or Coco - and long periods in veg without watering

Indeed! It’s been a slow summer for aphids too. There are usually loads on the oleanders (bushes with pink flowers). I did notice a bunch of soldier beetles early on, but they’ve moved on.

So it’s up to me this time. They’re still moving. How long does neem take? I might have to plug the hole and fill the bucket up with neem solution to get to all of them hiding in the holes in the perlite chunks. That’s why I decided to try neem - I have heard that it isn’t a good idea to use insecticidal soap as a root drench.

I'm not sure about the time it takes to wipe 'em out. I've never encountered a mass population like that where I had to spray neem on the plants. I actually thought it worked quite fast but you needed to keep applying regularly until the eggs were eliminated which I think was a about a week. Most likely soil too so not sure about hempy.

I second the one week timeline. That's about how long it took for me to see significant improvement in my last grow.

Neem doesn't kill them directly, but disrupts the feeding and breeding cycle IIRC.

This morning, I gave BeBo2 and GLGA their first flowering fertigation, using the mix described in post #605, with the exception that I increased the MC v1 from 4 to 4.5g/gal. This keeps N up at 136 ppm for now. I will likely drop to 4g/gal in a week or so.
