That's interesting. I already added various rock dusts including paramagnetic to my soil, but I wonder if amending with a load more, volcanic or otherwise would help even further? Some of that soil in mountainous places like Nepal can be made up of a lot pretty rocky gritty stuff.True dat! When I did my side-by-side clone test they still hadn't worked out the correct amount for ProMix HP so I didn't get any benefits, and since then I haven't had room for another test. Turns out you need a lot more Vulx for HP than soil.
Someday maybe I'll have the space to try again.

I can tell you that my Carnival in ProMix HP needs to be fertigated every other day in its 7 gallon pot. Two gallons a throw.
This is why I have considered adding in vermiculite back into the system. I will attempt a side by side on my next flower run but will be watering it the same as the perlite (48 hours) just to see what's what. I do remember watering every 3 days at times when vermiculite was in the mix.
She is really a beast now.BeBo1 has sprinted 16” in the past 2 weeks (7” more since last Thursday)
While she may be in the shadows of BeBo1's massiveness, I really like her shape a lot.BeBo2 has only added another 4” in the last 7 days
GLGA is may be this grow's sleeper. The BeBo's seem to get most of the attention, but GLGA is looking fantastic.GLGA has definitely added some height since last week

Well for sure they need watering more often once they get big, especially outside. But still much less demanding for water than hempy or Coco - and long periods in veg without wateringI can tell you that my Carnival in ProMix HP needs to be fertigated every other day in its 7 gallon pot. I'm not sure about the time it takes to wipe 'em out. I've never encountered a mass population like that where I had to spray neem on the plants. I actually thought it worked quite fast but you needed to keep applying regularly until the eggs were eliminated which I think was a about a week. Most likely soil too so not sure about hempy.Indeed! It’s been a slow summer for aphids too. There are usually loads on the oleanders (bushes with pink flowers). I did notice a bunch of soldier beetles early on, but they’ve moved on.
So it’s up to me this time. They’re still moving. How long does neem take? I might have to plug the hole and fill the bucket up with neem solution to get to all of them hiding in the holes in the perlite chunks. That’s why I decided to try neem - I have heard that it isn’t a good idea to use insecticidal soap as a root drench.
