Featherleaf's Perpetual Grow

Forgot to mention that I swapped out my old crappy MH reflector for the old reflector from my flower tent that can take both types of globes. Its currently holding a MH and is dimmed to 250w until go and buy a new 4-600W MH globe next week. I dont know why I didnt swap it out the day I got a new 1000W, I just didnt think of it untill today

Here is a pic of the 2 G13 plant that were behind. As you can see they're not bad, they just took a week longer to start growing. These 2 plants will NEVER be as big as their sisters, but given the same amount of time they will grow in a similar fashion.

Start of week 5 of flower.
I mix a huge batch of nutrients (30 litres at 1200 ppm), and feed my plants a litre a day from now on.
Increases yield by allowing your girls to eat more by feeding less but more frequently. Similar in theory to drip irrigation I guess? All I know is my girls love it, and it really helps to keep humidity where it should be.

3 Snowflake Kush seedlings have popped leaves, 1 has yet to crack its shell so I covered the hole back up to give it more like I did for the 2 G13 seeds.
All 6 Dark Dream seeds have dropped, later todday Ill be putting them onto a paper towel inside a ziplock bag

Went out in search of bamboo plant stakes, and in my searching I found a source for plastic plant stakes! Theyre sealed so no chance of build up, easy to clean, and all different sizes and colors. With good plant stakes, you can create a trelis net effect whilst being able to feed, move and rotate your plants. I will admit that it creates a LOT of extra work, but working from home has its advantages.
When my flower tent fires up tonight, I am going to do this to my Damnesia plant because she is getting WAY too big. I will take pictures of the result.
Put the 6 Dark Dream seeds into a paper towel inside a ziplock bag.
Took a veg shot. The one top left is going to be topped tonight. The plants are getting big, and I need them to start being bushy by the use of aggressive topping.
Sorry for the mess >.< I am usually very tidy, my animals have been a pain in the backside today

Since flipping to 12/12 and chopping the bottom 1/3, I havent done a serious defoliation. I like to wait until week 4-5 before I start removing leaves that are completely suffocating good bud sites. This gives the plants a chance to show me where they want to be defoliated. I dont know if its just me... But I have found with all the strains Ive grown that large fan leaves that cover GOOD bud sites start to look sickly or have problems, and it has always been a good yard stick to me for what leaves from the top canopy to remove. I dont go nuts though, and I dont TOUCH sugar leaves, only large fan leaves that cast huge shadows. I have no way of testing this next part, but Ive been told that defoliation done correctly will increase potency due to simulating being eaten by an animal, thus producing more THC in order to defend itself by making the next animal that eats it so stoned it will never touch that plant ever again.
Any thoughts on this?

Here is a picture of my flowering ladies from last night. 4 LSDs and 1 Damnesia plant. The bud swell is real! I switched positions of the 2 plants in smaller pots to the back of the tent to help with space. Tent looks MUCH tidier now. The 3 most important plants are directly below the lights too.
As I predicted, LSD Indica Phenotype 1 is holding the most weight. I took some pictures of that specific plant outside of the tent, and took a picture with flash so you can see a bit better.

I've heard this theory but dunno of its accuracy. Now this theory makes more sense to me check out Back building technique

I LOVE it when people hit me with new techniques <3 thank you for giving me something to to test! I would much rather snip the tips of my buds opposed to piercing the stem late flower which was what I was going to try on my "fucked with it" plant this time around.

Youre also correct about multiple waterings during flower for plants in coco. It replenishes the oxygen in the coco giving those hydro results. When using coco I tried watering at least twice a day in flower.

I've also seen a few members here take a pen and poke holes in the coco to increase drainage when the soil is too compacted.

Yer i had to do that with my soil. I got girls in a shed with not great ventilation. Taking ages to dry out so ive poked holes all the way down with my ph probe. Also put the fan blowing across the top of the pots under the canopy so should help

Yo featherleaf you've been a busy bee! So out of all the "fucked with it" plants what's the better technique overall for your setup at the moment?
happy growing buddy.
A combination of topping, LST and super cropping branches :-). Super cropping or knuckling branches was what I learnt from last crop, I do it 2 weeks before flower so they have plenty of time to bounce back. Bend and twist branches so they grow back twice as strong and can hold heavier buds without sagging.
Thanks to Killerbudz, Ill be testing "backbuilding" this time on my fucked with it plant instead of testing "stem piercing"

Today I got rid of a few clones due to having a silly amount of them. I gave them to a very old grower who promised me a cutting of another of his strains he grows, same guy who gave me the Damnesia. I also re-arranged the tents.
The LSD Indica 1 clones are in the mother tent as well as the Damnesia clone.
The G13 x Cali Orange and GG Allins are in the veg tent. 2 strains, 6 females.
Next time I go to my supply store I am going to get another silenced inline fan so I can turn my veg tent into a flowering chamber temporarily whilst my LSDs finish flowering, so that when I pull my LSDs down my other plants will already be a few weeks into flower instead of continuing to veg.
