Oh yea guys, speaking of magic, turned some marinara into vodka sauce for some roasted salmon with purple/green peppers, red onion and sundried tomatoes over lobster ravioli.

I'll share the end result tomorrow with the tent update

Until then, vodka sauce in translation

Gonna hit the showers and demolish a hot pocket.
OH TELL ME IT ISN'T SO! Hot Pockets?!
Oh yeah, Bubblegum is looking fantastic!
Thank you! She is such a sweet and low maintenance kinda gal. I'm kinda digging the outdoors thing! For an auto at least!

That's my goal, to make you yearn for my cooking, that's a leash I know that I will forever have a hold of! Italian girls know the way to people's hearts-through their stomachs! That's how we best show our love!

Speaking of love, I was inundated with new caterpillar eggs last night after I checked my parsley. Have at least 15. One hatched this morning so Happy Birthday to my new little Swallowtail caterpillar love and we will be saying Happy Birthday a bunch more over these next few days, more than half of the eggs are already turning brown-meaning they will be hatching soon!

My regular butterfly enclosure got ripped badly in a storm over the winter and I never got another one. In the beginning I was spraying my garden with neem and got some on my parsley which was no Bueno for Swallowtails trying to lay eggs. But I guess,1 of my 3 plants is now neem free and a couple swallowtails smelled fresh herbs and came on over....or maybe it was the fresh herbs flowering that they smelled in the grow room adjacent to the garden? Either way, I've got babies again and they will just have to share the mesh butterfly enclosure with Aurora.

Side note: I fell asleep early last night and we had a doc appt for the baby earlier so I missed tent pics-AGAIN, but just an FYI real quick, Angelina was in the hole between the light bars-she has a branch that has now surpassed Uma in height! Amazing.

And finally until tonight, random quick pics of our Bubblegum in her "tent" with the Swallowtail children

Enjoy your grow Wednesday friends!!!

Highya Krissi,

Have you ever heard of the rash you get from swallowtails. I got it a couple years ago, but not since. At that time, a lot of people had that! I'm guessing it's still a thing.

Bubblegum Auto looks very happy in the outdoor air! Love the bud closeups you took. Very nice. I'll patiently wait until you have an opportunity to get pics of your inside ladies. Hope you're well. Happy Smokin'

Highya Krissi,

Have you ever heard of the rash you get from swallowtails. I got it a couple years ago, but not since. At that time, a lot of people had that! I'm guessing it's still a thing.

Apparently it's called

"Phytophotodermatitis"

I have never contracted it. What seems to happen is that there are toxins on certain plants and/or the caterpillars that roam around those plants and when in contact with human skin (as this is seen in most people who tend to gardens), the toxin on the plant or caterpillar, then sloughs off some of that onto our skin, which can cause patchy reddish-brown rashes!

I never knew! The more you know, Reading Rainbow (other 80s kids are somewhere I know)

She's doing well, dainty little thing. So excited for foliar color. It's always show stopping on this strain!

My apologies for not getting to it sooner! Durban will be featured tonight so I know you don't want to miss that one! Have a great afternoon in Maine Bode!

And btw, for any butterfly enthusiasts or curious kittens, these are some of my eggs and you can even see a baby caterpillar in one of them (you can tell by its dark body with a little stripe block on it). If you look real close, in some of the eggs that are about to hatch, you can see the teeny-tiny caterpillars ready to come into the world!

My nurse friend came over last night when I found the eggs and said Krissi, do you really need more things to take care of! You can't stop! I said nope I can't!!! I can't help it!!!! They're just so darn beautiful and the entire process is so fulfilling, nurturing them and watching them transform....aaaahh..melts my heart!

Catch you all with the tent girls later! Hope you enjoy the Swallowtail babies 🦋

I was going to grow Milkweed for the Monarchs but I thought if I was going to be growing outdoors that it might attract more pests. CL🍀

That's exactly why I have Aurora far away from my garden outside...pests. Once the eggs are on there though, you take it away from the garden anyways so maybe next year you will have some Monarchs, too....if you wanna give it a whirl

The good thing about monarch caterpillars is they only eat milkweed. When people think they have monarch caterpillars eating other plants they always turn out to be some other species, usually tiger swallowtails.

I seen a documentary about them and it was saying how there’s not as many as years ago. And they migrate to Mexico on an incredible journey. CL🍀

I had a rather bizarre experience with caterpillars in Florida. Every year they have this outdoor music festival put on by a radio station called Livestock. Anyway I was just feeling the effects pretty good of some blotter back at my campground lounging on my lawnchair and to my surprise I had about 2 dozen Woolly caterpillars on me. I swear one of them stung me or bit me Idk but I was freaking out trying to get them off of me. I must’ve looked like a Madman jumping around slapping @ my legs. I can’t be sure but I think 🤔 I might have screamed a little bit too. Lmao 😂 Good times! CL🍀.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::cheesygrinsmiley:

Sure, you weren't just tripping :rofl:
Yeah I’m positive I was tripping but the caterpillars were real. I think they liked the tree that I was under because there were thousands of them in the area around that tree. CL🍀. :thumb::cheesygrinsmiley:

They are an incredible and sadly quickly dying species. It's a shame. Truly is.

OK so yea, Clover was DEFINITELY TRIPPING. TRIPPING BALLS. Glad you had a phenomenal time. Tbh if it were me with 2 dozen fuzzy caterpillars on me, I'd have the same "I'm currently in the happiest place I can be in my life look-borderline psycho eyes, as Pee-Wee Herman whenever he got on that damn red bike. Thank the good green lords I'm not tripping now cause I'd never be able to sleep, images of Pee Wee H running through my head like the Jefferey Dahmer tapes. Oh these late night bowls....and the Crucifixion exorcism movie will do that to a girl I guess.....
Wait what?
See. I knew it. I really needed to ease into this more, can't have all your mind-blown heads popping off at the same time...that would be way too messy to clean up.

So hello again friends and fam. It's been a few days since you guys have seen the Fantastic Four. My apologies for their absence here, please take these kief ball photos as a token of my appreciation for understanding my shortcomings. I took out the kief jar today for some extra kiefy smoke and amongst the trichomes was this chunky monkey :yummy:

Moving onward, we suffered a singular burnt leaf on Angelina as this Amnesia has jumped in height a little more. I adjusted the tie straps as best as I could, they had a tiny bit of give in then still, to rise the light as much as I can without having to go in there and ransack my current ties. Her smoke is well worth the need for adaptation.

Marilyn has some really lovely dense nugs coming up and out of her stocky frame and the same goes for Geneva. This NYC Diesel and G-13 both develop fat, dense, resinous and super aromatic buds.

Before we get into our spotlighted girl, some pics of the full and still vertically climbing tent...

But the Plant of the Day is none other than Uma, our Durban Poison. She is the eldest of the sisters, sprouting from seed 65 days ago. She was flipped to a flowering 12/12 light schedule 21 days ago and is currently Day 13 of Flower.

Durban is a plant I didn't have any experience with so this grow is as new to you as it is to me. With that said, I wanted to get a low down on this South African Landrace Sativa strain but we are going to do it in chunks. Here's some info for the noggin for now to stew on:

Terps!

Beta Myrcene: 48%
-anti-inflammatory, analgesic and sedative

Alpha Pinene: 23%
-potent anti-inflammatory effects

Beta Pinene: 19.3%
-anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, pain relief, anxiety-relief

Limonene: 11.69%
-anxiety-relief, stress-relief, euphoria

Beta Caryophyllene: 7.77%
-Pain relief, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antioxidant

A Dutch Passion seed some noteables are as follows:

-A spicy and earthy tasting strain, it has notes of coffee and pepper, citrus and hashish and is tantalizing to your senses

-Said to be a superior day time strain with a focused and creative high along with instant mood elevation

-Users experience ocular pain relief as well as a decrease in headaches and nerve issues.

-Thought to be useful in appetite suppression as well as weight loss

-Over sized resin glands and an XXL yield

-Relatively fast finishing Sativa varietal, 8-9 weeks per specs

....As we go on with Plant of the Days, we will need more to talk about so I'll cut it off here for now, until our next spotlight on Uma. While we wait for that, her photo breakdown:

Hope you all are not suffering from insomnia like myself this evening and that your Fridays are filled with nothing but love and grow love and all the other kinds of love in between

Little and I will be going over to mils pool later today for pool and pizza but I'll be back home for early evening and I'll be around most of the morning, too, just got some random errands is all. Keeping it stress-free, yanno?! Trying at least! :surf:

Catch you all around the forum!

I'm still looking over my shoulder...what was that? Oh nevermind, it's just the cat....
Plants are looking good Krissi:green_heart::green_heart:
Thanks Abs!! :peace::thanks:
And im with @InTheShed you still put a bud in the sauce in the jars right? Tell me you did
:goof:
I cant say I did just cause I didn’t want to F up the sauce and I didnt want to F up the bud. I have herbs for the sauce, these budded herbs I'm afraid, dont make the sauce cut
