Father & Sons Perpetual Hydro Grow In Aqua Farms

good news on the seeds, wont be long before you can start training them, lst works great for keeping plants small but bushy,

just pick indica strains as they tend to stay smaller, sativa plants get tall pretty quick

im watching closely as im gonna be copying this a much as possible seen as i cant get hydro figured out yet lol, so plenty of pics to see how you do everything from germ right upto about 2 weeks old, if i aint killed em by then i shoud be good. good luck mukker

I've got slight problems :( our new seeds cracked 6 days ago and got put into rockwool cubes one popped up and the other didn't it pushed the seed up just past the surface of the rockwool and seemed to have got stuck there, 6 days seems a lot in my experience for a seed to go from being cracked to breaking surface so I gently pulled the seed casing from the seedling, I've done this before but only when the seedling has pushed it a good way above the surface. We normally buy 3 seeds to get 2 from in case of things like this but didn't this time :( I only pulled the seed casing away through fear of the seedling running out of it's stored energy before it could open up.

Here's some pictures before I pulled the seed casing off.

And here's a picture after, I hope it works!

fingers crossed for the seedling, removing the seed to early can cause it to die but ive had to do it a few times and some seem to pull through ok, just usually have deformed leaves for the first set,

i had to bury my seeds a bit deeper to stop this from happening, i found it was down to the seeds not been planted deep enough but i plant direct in soil so might not be the same problem with yours,

flowering plants look great from what we can see,

The seedling is doing OK now, it's a bit behind the other one but if one plant is bigger than the other when I come to top them I will just top the bigger plant a few nodes further down than the other.

I will do a update of the seedlings and white widows Sunday.

A little up date here, our white widows have been in flower nearly 7 weeks and to be honest i'm very happy with the size of the buds so far! when we had our AK X NL's in the same system some of the buds were human arm size! these plants looked like they had a lot of potential with many bud sites and a fairly even canopy but they just don't seem to be filling in well.

One thing is that they got tall so we had to super crop them just after 2 weeks from the switch and although they healed fast (3 days) I think because they had to put energy in to healing for a short while so that would put them a little behind.

Also there is a lot of mixed views on how long to flower white widow so I'm hoping they will still bulk up as this is my Christmas yield :)

I'd like to here anyone else who has grown ww in hydro and how long they flowered for?

Here is some pictures, they are hard to show properly as the main buds go above the door frame.

Glad the baby made it. :)

I've been working with WW in hydro, and it's, by far, the longest running strain I have. Actually, I've decided to stop growing it. Mine never really looked like yours, but they always looked less mature then the other strains and mine had a tendency to hermie if I tried to let it go to finish well. It did make the giant branch colas, but they were more pistil than calyx and not as crystaly as the name would suggest.

Yours however look fantastic! :thumb:

Hello Hiker the widows are now 7 weeks into flower and they seem to be filling in OK, we are going to flower them for 9 weeks possibly a bit more as white widow does seem to take longer then other strains with similar sativa/indica ratios, we have a lot of deodorant can size buds which considering we have 2 weeks to go isn't bad and this time we have so much more bud sites and a more even canopy so I still have high hopes, I didn't catch them before lights on today so will do good update tomorrow also the seedlings are looking well and have been transplanted today, pictures tomorrow.

Seedling update, I just noticed last time I posted pictures of my seedlings I said "white rhino" I meant white Russian, I was so stoned I forgot what strain I'm growing :) I'm glad my second seedling popped up to say hello in the end because we would of had to start over if not. We normally germinate 3 seeds to get 2 so we can avoid one being behind but we didn't this time, oh well like I said before when it comes time to top I will top the biggest one several nodes further down than the smaller plant, as long as the height is roughly the same i'm happy. Also today I put in a 250w MH I know it's wasteful in electricity for 2 seedlings but being air cooled it's actually cooler in my veg room than the cfl and I really want stocky plants. Next time round I think I will be getting a 150w MH that will be perfect for my seedlings. As the 2 seedlings are quite far away I need spread from what ever light I use.

Flowering room update we have decided to flower the widows for 9 weeks which is 12 days away. It's so hard to show them properly in pictures as most of the action is above the door frame but I have tried my best to get some pictures the one with the lights on I had to record a video then get a screen shot of it as I can't see what i'm doing when taking pictures at the top, it shows roughly the top of one plant. We are going to have a 10 day flush with plain osmosis water.
