Sorry snake will do a full update tomorrow been busy recently but having a few issues with cheese she is breaking my heart I worked her age out n she is 10weeks old but still immature she's already 2weeks over due date gas a few amber trichs but still white hairs so was meant to be giving her another week but today I found spider mites :( I stripped infested leaves but this isn't really going too help so Bar,flo, closetgrown any of you had experience with this I'm a little scared im going too get some neem oil tommorow and making a spray is this OK? I also am going to coat all plants in neem prevent spread :(:( will take pics as I go tommorow but any input from you guys will be highly appreciated :bong:

Sorry, check Jimmy or Lester.

What's up Scottish.:high-five:
Very sorry to hear about the mite's.To be honest they don't look bad at all from the pic's which mean's you have a good fighting chance and should be able to rid them some what easily.:thumb:I have not used neem oil,so I can not help you there, but I have used a few other's.I will say flat out that mighty wash did not work for me at all.It also left sticky spot's on the leaves and is why they also make a wash, that is just as pricey as the spray it self.lol.
I can tell you what I am using now and is working for me.As a matter of fact I just sprayed not to long ago on my girl's that were in flower.
Here is a link.J6K - GreenSun Led ZNET4 Test Run..should take you right to the post.:thumb:

LOL I like Mighty Wash....

I think the key is to be vigilant about whatever you do, mites can be hard to finish off. Whatever you use, I would recommend bud washing for anything that was sprayed late in flower...

Bud Washing

Best of luck what ever you do, I hate spider mites.

Thanks bar dont appologiseim glad you havent got personal experiance with these pests but as always you have been a great source of info im sending you some reps :thanks:

Hey jimmy yeah my ladies are all fighting fit thankfully and it seems I caught these little buggers in the early stages so hopefully I stand a chance of elimination but I have 8mj plants and numerous capsicum so there are plenty of plants to be treating so expensive mightywash may not be the best anyway thanks for the link im just going to read up now :) +reps

Cheers crawdaddy I was wondering about this when I thought about spraying her I dont want to be smoking miteacides or risking dead spiders in buds etc so you have answered my next question I wil be reading the link as soon as im done with j6k much appreciated mate you deserve some rep :bong:

Hello,

Nice work  For the mites if you have a vacuum with a hose you can lightly suck them off or
Some homemade insecticides:

Garlic water insecticide
Skin a clove of garlic then mash them up well. Add the well mashed garlic to boiling water and let it steep for 15 minutes. Use a strainer to strain out the garlic so just the water passes through the strainer then add to spray bottle.

Tobacco water insecticide
Take some tobacco and place it in a tea filter or I suppose you could put it in a coffee filter and staple it closed. Put it into the container and pour boiling water on it and let that steep for about 10 minutes then strain that into the spray bottle.

Soap water insecticide
Mix a tablespoon of dish soap per every quart of water you use mix it well leave on plants for 20 minutes and then spray that with clean water to eliminate the soapy residue. This will dry out the bugs. Thrips, whiteflies, spider mites, aphids, ants, springtails, silverfish.

I hope this helps

I was just wondering if you got the mites from taking them in and out of your set up? In one of your photos I thought that I had seen a plant that was not cannabis. Was that plant grown in there by seed or brought in from a different place? When ever I introduce new plant I quarantine them first to avoid contamination. I thought that I would just pass this on.

You are doing a good job
:high-five:

Its not from being in and out the tent everywhere was deep cleaned prior to puttin the tent up I have a few other plants in the tent all my plant are from seed but the short riders where brought in from outdoors I think they led to the contamination so now all plants will be sprayed with cannacure weekly if the bottle does as it says not only does it kill bugs it boosts growth and plantslight intake but prevention is better than cure I think im lucky and caught it just in time tho :) thanks lady v :bong:

I had some onions that I started in my tent and everything was fine until I took them outside. Then all those stupid lawn flies got into them. Now, they are sitting in my common room it is still to cold to put them out. It is still getting down in the 30s here. I am afraid to put them back in. My tents are still virgin from pest :wood: so far. I bleach once a week; the floor to keep away from the mold.
I hope that this will take care of the mites.
:cheertwo:

I love the way plants grow in the tent the speed and strength are amazing altho temps outside here are rather low I have various stages of chilis and peppers outdoors and they are going strong onions are hardy they should withstand the temps I have just planted mine on the allotment if you are really concerned plant and add a layer of mulch keep heat in or straw over the ground if you havent got a cold frame to hand, I prefer outdoor growing can use bugs to control bugs and birds can be attracted to keep pests at bay aswell :bong:
:bravo: I wish I could keep my tent pest free but it just keeps filing with gnats as I have passive intake im going to modify my tent with some netting stop anything entering unless quaranteened beforehand including myself I may have introduced the mites on my clothing going from allotment staight in there but I have a few pics from this evenin after there first go with cannacure stuff seems to work great plants are looking pretty and so far 0 pests not even a gnat :) silver lining all plants will be cannacured on future

Nice photos!!
I even ware a shower cap over my hair to keep it out of things. My first grow I was finding long hair all over every thing. icky !!

nice stuff around 42 G's in total :cheesygrinsmiley: my plants dont look like there gonna produce that much, they look like the amount on the last one witch was 10-15g. ur using cfls yea? how many red specs u using and whats the watt ? im woundering will the cfls do the job for me beause im thinking of getting a led pannel, they plants seem to love them and ther not too expencive to run either.

 I have that issue lady v im constantly picking my hairs off plants I may have to use your shower cap method :bong:

Im running 500w was 2blue 2red for that plant and she is the smallest yielder im looking 2ounce on the cheese minimum in a few days she has some amber trichs now but I changed the lights to 3xred 1xblue today as I picked up a bulb when I had to get canna but im also thinking swapping to a led board and having 10+ plants 6strain grow when all this is over and on a curee :)

Sorry I havent been on any other threads sooooo busy atm n subbed to soo many will do my best over the w.e pop by n say hi :bong:

I use T8's and LED's. One tent is mixed T8's and LED's the other is all T8's if you veg longer your turnout will be better. I also do a Scrog and that really helps by not growing trees you get more.

Here is a chart that I use for the T8's
Kelvin_scale.jpg

:peace:

Do you find the mix works well of led and t8? I was contemplating running the cfl alongside a led panel andblowing out the tent but may be donating my CFL's and just running led I've not known anyone opt for pure cfl over pure led, as with vegging except baby haze theyare all autos so i am stuck with short veg and long flowering periods sadly although I have figured a few ways to manipulate timings on these plants I just have to wait until all yields are in to gather all results but I'm noticing the larger the pot longer veg/root growth smaller the pot quicker the growth also 24hr light aids vegetative growth but will take forever to flower buds developed best in dark so flowering ladies need a good 6-8hrs night :bong: sending some reps your way lady v

The 24/0 of light slows them down the best setting is 18/6. Are you checking the PH? I can't remember sorry. Not checking the PH will lock your plants out and they won't grow very well. For soil it is ideally 6.5. I do mine at 6.0--6.8 But NEVER 7.0 I use a pool kit and lemon juice for PH down and regular PH up.. But you can just add more water to adjust the PH (to make it higher)

Personally I like the LED's and in a few month I am hopping to get 2 more panels or just one big one. The T8's have saved my butt. I have never used CFL's That light chart gives you an idea for the spectrums needed for the plants. My T8's I have rotated my bulbs from cool to warm and every few weeks I change them out and swap then around. My second tent is all T8's and my first tent is mixed with the LED's. If you are able to I would go LED all the way. The LED's work so well with the plants. Flower/Bloom should be on a 12/12. The 12/12 starts the plant into thinking that Fall is coming. It should take about ten days for it to start the pistils under 12/12. It also gives the plant time to rest. The same for the 18/6 the 6 hours gives her time to rest and reach. LOL if you want to know what to not do drop in on my three small journals and I spill out what happened on my first attempt at growing..
Sorry for being long winded :) Thank you for the reps:)
