Fabric bag into hempy?

I'm wondering if i would be able to put my 5 gal fabric bags snugly into a 3 inch deep tray and treat it like a hempy bucket. I have 6 plants just into flower and the hand feeding is wearing on me a lot. I tried to set up an automated drip feed system and failed.

Speculatively I would say yes that should work. The principles are right for hempy. I don’t think I’ve seen it though.. so give it a try, and make it a journal!
