It's nowhere near as stable as a tripod but I can reach it into places a scope on a tripod won't reach.

Pretty sure it was holding my Phone when I got the first one. I'll go check one.
The one I just pulled out widens to 3 1/2". Holds my phone with plenty of room to spare.
You're welcome. I used these a lot to hold my strobe flash units on stands, so I could move them around where I needed them.
LOL I hadn't imagined that!
It works great as them you can focus easily on other parts of the subject.
You'll find it when you're looking for something else.
My phone can do manual focus so I'll give that a try. Thanks Ke0ncp!
