Exceptionally High FECO Yields

I took a sample from my garden floor and looked under the scope. Not doing that anymore. The place is alive after sanitizing, at around 1000 magnification stuff was moving around on the slide. Growing in a basement has ups and downs. Anyhow I bagged a pic of a young sugar leaf tip and I hope it looks as good posted as it does on my computer.

I can see the stomata!

It looks luscious! Nice trichomes!

The pics today.

A grateful Vet bought the scope as a gift for me $80 on Amazon. Neat as all get up.

Going over the GSC monster cutting study we are in no rush to declare a success but... the three on the left were treated with our concoction on DAC #1. Many more specimens must be tested with our jazz.

Prof. Pete and yours truly disagree (I know, he is the Prof.) on the status of a cutting being fragile. He does not think the cutting is at any genetic risk from not being in seed. I think it gets short changed.

Me thinks the seed stock gets a special hormonal package that primarily organizes the GRN sequencing, setting the complimentary hormonal levels according to environmental stimulation's. For example the ABA in the seed hull maintains dormancy until the GRN is satisfied and only then JA is synthesized accordingly. The JA acting in concert with decreasing ABA primacy allows for axillary root production. Cuttings are thrown into the mix without the sequencing being up to speed. Therein the cutting idles for days not growing, but surviving. After the GRN figures out what happened and makes adjustments the cutting begins to root. My hope is our solution rich in both ABA and JA from the willow extract helps establish the GRN harmony faster than if we do not.

IMO, the cutting, once rooted, then has the leg up on the seedling due to having a lot more foliage to collect and convert energy. The seedling, upon planting it's taproot and a few laterals, then needs to rely on the cotyledons to supply the needed energy to grow new foliage.

IMO, seedlings drag ass while clones only stall long enough to grow roots, but then revert to rapid veg growing. Sorry no labcoat language, just my years observing how my clones take off after they put down a few roots.

You have the experience and trusting you I will always defer and rely on that experience. @InTheShed has voiced similar strong convictions about cutting vs. seedling and again he has far more experience than yours truly. :)

Looking at the main flowerbed tonight just before lights out. Keeping in mind my problem of cultivar identification I think we have nailed down who is who. This makes more sense now that I look at it. The only strain with a real sativa presence is Cali Orange. Looking at the leaf morphology two plants show sativa expressions. We were sure of Cali #1 but Cali #2 was questionable. I will put up the picks without messing with them. Filters and such.

Cali O looks really good.
I am getting stoked about it as well. The old sniffer is already picking up on a hint of fruity terpine activity when we put our beak down near the flowers. Then again I got to watch myself. When I want to smell something, my imaginations can convince me that I do smell it.

Ever since I stopped over to your thread for a visit, I have wondered if the sighting of any "Golden Arches" from my front porch with the backdrop of Banjo picking music would draw my neighbors attention?
Nah, it would fit right in here in the middle. :)

Ahoy there 420,
On a drive today started thinking about some of the amazing folks I have met here. One member was really giving me the positive vibes I need, and the brother has blown me away. He came across a person with stage 4 cancer in bad need of his intervention that is fighting for her life. She needed a lot of medicine and could not wait four months to grow her own.

My friend gave her a pound of flowers.

That is awesome @Old Salt.
A old sailor showing a old marine how to get it done.
And thanks for the good vibes, made the drive even nicer.

Ahoy 420;
Gardening apprentice update...
Our friend has taken to this like a champ.
Instead of just being discharged from the hospital to home hospice with liquid morphine at the ready, our guy went home and joined this extended 420 family. He has built a grow room in the garage where Thelma and Louise are growing in harmony with their gardener. The clones he is raising are from Cali O #1 and he is in great shape as she is doing us proud.
The next grow he plans to run some Gorilla Glue #4 we had from prior studies.
@survivorx2 is also planning his first 420 grow journal, and I look forward to watching him grow. :) Literally.
