Thanks for the compliment there MH. The flush time will be entirely decided by the plant's response to the radical trim she got this morning, but there is a strong possibility that I'll start a week long, in the complete dark flush towards the end of the week, we'll just have to see how it works out.

So you flush for an entire week in total darkness? What is the benefit of flushing in darkness? This is the first I've heard of such a long dark period. Have you done this before? Thanks bro, peace.

Never for a whole week, the most I've done is four days. The purpose of the dark is to drive the last possible bit of resin production from the plant, and since I'm goofing around with the Runt anyhow, why not push the dark period out to a full week just to see what happens.

Hey SW.

Props for "taking one" for the team, in the name of science and further research of cannabis cultivation!

Curious to what your opinion is with complete dark for one week (as you mentioned) vs. reducing (your light timer) by 1 hour each day for the last week?

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been struck down by a nasty case of stomach flu...I'll spare y'all the details...and this is the first time I've really gotten out of bed for a day and a half, and as soon as I'm done here. I'm going back to bed.

Cutting back the vast majority of the leaves has definitely had an effect on bud swell, especially on the mid and lower bud sites, and as such, I have not moved the runt into full dark yet...that and I really don't think I could actually lift the damn bucket...sickness breeds weakness.

I'll get some better pics tomorrow, I dialed the res down on the pics so I didn't have to go through the monumental aggravation of resizing this morning.

Well guys and gals, this one is coming to a close and doing it fast. Despite being 1 week short, the trichs on both plants are getting close to where I like them, so today I'm going to start the dark flush on both plants. If I didn't have another grow lined up and ready to go, I may push them that one extra week just to see what I could squeeze out of them, but all I wanted from this grow was some experience with the nutrients before I moved on to a strain that I really wanted in the first place.

On the subject of the nutrients, I'll say that I am pleased beyond words. I made some mistakes...should have cut the Magic Green sooner, perhaps given them a tad more of the Algen Extract...but what I learned is going to help me blow up the next grow.

I'll get some post trim pics up of Legs, she's a beast, just full of the Martian Mean Green bulk...hopefully the LA taste and stone came along also...but the tester I smoked, while extremely potent, had a full on body stone that I'm not a fan of at all. Ordinarily, that wouldn't be a problem, I'd just pass it off to the little lady, who prefers that kind of buzz, but she's on the smoke wagon for about 7 1/2 more months...baby #3 is on the way...I'm getting to old for this shit...So I'll jar it up for her and she'll have 3.5-4oz of well cured bud for after the delivery.

I'll be cranking up my next journal soon, perhaps later today or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes me to clean up and switch everything out. Hope you will all join me for the next grow.

Southern...I cant say anything about the job youve done...KUDOS.
the only minor observation I can make is they need a lil more time to finish..."when you think they are done then wait a week".

Yes, there is no doubt they could go a week or ten days longer, but I learned my lessons well with the H&G stuff and the next batch is coming along so fast, that I simply haven't got space for them. I'ts a good and bad problem to be sure...but remember, this was a test run to get a feel for what the nutes do...I got it figured out pretty well and in about 85 more days you'll see what I mean.

Glad to see you back Brother, I was getting a little worried about you...hope all is well.

DroJo, I'm blowing' this next grow to the fuckin' moon. I have plants twice the size in half the time, warmed up and ready to go in the bullpen. If I stuck to my original calender and let them go another 10 days in the nursery tub, I may not have been able to get the roots out cleanly.

Thing that made the difference was finding the right balance between the Great White and the Root Acceleratuer, which has stimulated some remarkably quick root growth, better than the last time by far and last time it was quicker than anything I'd ever seen before. That completely explains the rapid surface growth...stay tuned Brother, it's going to get crazy up in here.
