Righto. I admit these arent some staged shots, using a shitty camera phone, and I promise as I near harvest they will get better, got my old mirrorless out the other day and gave it a charge. I mean for those members who say I take horrible photos. But I refuse to mention any names @Trala

Here we go, a bit of scale. I tried this time I really did. Unfolded them, theý are like canna transformers, all folded up colas. Less, HELLO!,much more fuck off we're hiding. LOL. Like camo pots and all. Plenty of time to get nostalgic and snap happy when they are coming down.

I hope its better. It better be better, low key till harvest now.

They are definitely fattening up! And their foliage is bang on green. When it comes to growing I think foliage colour is what drives my grow. Your shade of green gets the green tick from me

And since you mentioned it, your photos are just HORRENDOUS! Would it kill you to carry like a spotlight, some black drapes, and maybe some wild flower garnish when out taking your pics? It’s all about lighting and angles bruv.

Righto so here, we, go.

Went out today with one thing in mind, and left with another.

Being Easter thought it best to go early, and to my surprise theres an area I have to go through slated for upcoming works. Highly disappointed.

My heart says the weather is good (or goodish) but my head says the end is nigh.

The cpl weeks left on them is evident in the pics. But its forced on me, the only option other than chop is move, but its still a risk this late. Being a full moon, the extra light today is gonna be the final day.

Prepping for hang, was gonna try fridge drying but sticking to my wheelhouse seems the better option.

Its a feal fucking shame. A real shame. It could have been beautiful. Really beautiful. The hint of lime greens and some small purple bud tips kills me to not let them go the distance. Some slight ambers are in on the buds here and there. Close enough I guess. Its just not meant to be this season. And if Im 100% honest my heart isnt in it to find a proper work around.

The backyard girls are a ways behind, probably the limited sunlight theyve gotten. The Autos, unimpressive. Put Ill push them as deep to finish as possible. Hopefully salvage something for a celebratory twister or two.

So it all starts coming to a close of the grow (at least the bush girls) with mixed emotion. I wont update harvest. Theres nothing to be gained in it, no numbers, pics, or reports, with a finish this early its meaningless. This was always about the grow. Bittersweet really. Any how enough of my emotive musings. Heres how they stand.

I think with my Mulanje, if it had just lasted 2 or 3 more weeks then how much more fruitful and advanced it's early forced harvest would have been, her buds weren't bad, but when if comes to bud, I'm always wanting something really outstanding. Same Brother, I really had hoped to make it into May and let them be the best they could be.

I dont really consume, but its beside the point. We all wanna grow the best buds we can, and with a bit of luck, the best buds we ever have. I dont need to be a consumer to aim that high.

I think watching them mature influences our thinking, and when things dont go our way its not easy to accept. My heart went out to you on your Malanje, its that easy to get invested in them, haha. I want the best for every grower, more so for those I follow along with.

We will see, maybe I keep one alive. But then Im pulled into staggered harvest, on top of an already staggered harvest, and Id rather it just be clean.

Mind is already on either a winter indoors post move, or run some early seedlings into an early outdoors next season. Just a couple, in my own space. I think you and @Trala have shown theres merit in both and giving care and attention to smaller numbers in a private controlled space.

Thats the reason Im not wholly devastated with the outcome. That and the lessons learned, and well relearnt.

In the meantime Ill try and control Mrs DV8s endless concerns about hanging and curing here lmao.

Anyhow Ill stop bullshitting on, worse could have been.

Sorry to hear things didn’t go as planned. I think it was super interesting watching them survive without the pandering of a semi controlled grow like mine. It’s like street kid vs private school kid. I liked watching them overcome adversity the way they did.

Got the chop yesterday. No person was harmed.

We dont deal so much in facts, but more light hearted entertainment in here, was just having a laugh. Often Im the only one getting my jokes, but thats ok too.

While Im in here might as well give an update. I said I wouldnt but a few words wont hurt none.

Harvest trim went late into the night. I always forget how much work it is. At one point I was so unengaged I might as well have been a bud. Certainly smelt like one.

I go a bit extra, but it was how I was taught. Actually I kinda live by the same principle in all my work, tackle the hardest shit early.

They look like debutantes in a room rented by the hour. Prim and proper, stunning, surrounded by sticky floors, dirt, and old decor lol.

Smell got deep last night, and even this morning. Like a deep dead stinking roo deep, but much nicer of course. Not bad considering how it was on the light side for yeild.

They started the pull in, temps and RH were pretty good o/n, should be ok, in the right zones give or take till Monday when it gets wet. Im a fussy bastard Ill keep tinkering till they are teady to go into glass homes. So far so good though. Smooth sailing.

Heres the 4 left with feet still in the ground. Makes the rest look good lol.
That last pic, the NL Auto got her groove on late. I mean definitely in comparison to the GG4, who was totally a mong from almost birth. Needs a new pot but Im too cruel to give it to her. If theres anywhere big improvements are possible its in my Auto game. We'll see what happens, bang or bust going for forward.

Totally an example if you can do badly, I çan do worse! Nothing says I fucked it quite like these pics. One day champ, one day soon haha.

And here is the montage of my little topped girl, really the only one i can follow all through, as she was always No3 with her 3 arms. I could put dates but less magic in that.

Started early Dec, chop mid April. She was pretty old (like 5 or 6 weeks) when I Queen of Heartsed her. Had the littlest final pot, a 300mm. Whats that in imperial, like 11inch, or 4 gallon. Thats what my conversion table says

When there are set backs it can be bloodyy disappointing and to myself I would tend to express it a lot more colourfully than that, but it is good to quickly get over it and learn whatever we can in order to be more successful the next time.
