Dutty Panty's Adventures in High Brix Budland

Ok so did inventory last night I'm running 70% docs kit in our gardens so I should get this figured and dialed in shortly also wanted to share one of my trimmers conversation with me yesterday


Me: hey I need you to wash these two plants today while I'm running errands

Trimmer: ok which two?

Me: the high brix Dutch and that nightmare

Trimmer: wow Dutch smells Piney and kinda like a cheesecake

Me: lol yeah doc said may have a donut smell

Trimmer: yeah kinda yeasty!

Me: yeasty what the fuck I don't smell no yeast

Trimmer: lol no yeast in a good way like a bakery.

Me: haha ok yeah got ya ok wash that and when I get back I'll have you mix some soil

Trimmer: ok man see you in a bit.

1.5 hrs pass and I arrive back home.

Trimmer: hey uh man come here

Me: ok what's up

Trimmer: look at my fucking hands

Me: why didn't you wear gloves lol.

Trimmer: I never have when we wash. That Dutch is so sticky.

Me: more than the usual

Trimmer: yes for sure

Me: is it on the pre dry line. Let's take a look.



In conclusion it's sticky as hell and the terpene profile currently is more sweet then pine but that may adjust a little. Funny I thought.

Morning nate. Yes I will. It will be tested in like 5 days. I'm gonna Have the HandG one that was next to docs tested too. As well as chocolate fondue that was in kit soil but on house and garden

Whatever the readings on the HB are....low or high....they will get better! As you become more familiar with the HB style you'll dial them in.

I'm more interested in the terp profile results. I want to see the difference in amount of each terpene. You now have a 70% controlling factor in my gardens.
 
House and garden about 25% I'm gonna focus on high brix for awhile I think besides you I'll probably have it the most dialed after a few cycles. Cycle one in the books.

Well, whatever works, right? I think you'll still want H and G around for the "OG" types, and you'll find some new strains that grow really well in HB too.

I like what your trimmer said. That's a familiar conversation around here too. I'm glad you got the bakery smell! That's when I find I like the product the best.
 
I'm assuming its got Caryophyllene present usually doesn't have that terp. Very interesting that the brix can adjust this. Usually Dutch is so pinene based with its terpene profile.

Fuck the amount of genetics I've tossed could of had some killers on brix I bet oh well. Evolution baby.

Yep, and next time you won't forget to foliar feed and we'll tweak the feeding schedule and you should improve an order of magnitude on the second run. Then it starts getting fun.

BTW, it's the microbes that do all this. The presence of calcium changes up the chemistry a bit and allows the plant to make a whole new terpene profile unlike anything I've seen before.

Wait till you start smoking it....let me know how the effect differs, cuz it will.
 
So I have a jam night once a week random pickers from random local bands. Some old rockers and such. Pretty established musicians and smokers.

So probably in like 10 days or so I'm gonna have 8 or 9 guys blind test both. I'm great at judging terpene profiles but my tolerance is way way too high. I can take 4 80+ % dabs back to back and barely get buzzed. So I'll need there help there. Yeah I missed about half the foliars. This time I DeStress if needed on Fridays and brix every Sunday
 
Sounds like a winner to me, if there is a lot of sugars in the soil or in the plant yeast can consume and bloom. Yeast is also a plant, one celled plant and it is everywhere, sour dough is proofed with local wild yeast. it would make sense that a High Brix Plant with a bounty of Sugar or carbs would make a nice home in your soil or growing area. Or another hypothesis would be the Sugars represented in the root exudates could also support a yeast colony.
 
And doc you ever made cannasoda that's potent. Saw your cookie review I've got about 30 grams of kief from my trim bins good idea in the magical butter maker

Bakery smell I'm assuming comes from sugars in root cells

I will the house and garden is the typical oh its a Dutch Christmas yay. So they will guess that. Bet the brix one they assume is different those two plants were cuttings off of the same plant
