my sympathies DP i myself suffer too from RLS

the only thing that works for me is a filling the bathtub with scolding hot water and blazing an indica while soaking

That's why I post so much from hot tub.

Yeah it sure does suck I hate it. And ambian made my life super movie weird. Lol. But turmeric does help as well as good smoke and booze at times.

heya dutty,, i wanna tell ya how i beat restless leg,, not the easiest way,, but i used to get it and once i learned this trick, i have never had it again.

it's all mind over matter. do you think it's possible to drive past an accident and not look?? well, if you force yourself to not look, it is possible,, and it can be done,, i know,, i have done it. have to force yourself to not look. it's not that hard.

anyway,, restless leg is similar. this really worked for me. i had to force myself not to react to the restless leg,, to bend and twist it to relieve the restlessness,, which , of course, only returns again a short time later. so i had to force myself to endure the sensations of the restless leg,,

restless leg is not really pain or hurt,, just irritation mainly,, was for me anyway, and i found it possible to endure the sensations,, only last for 30 secs or so,, i remember,, then they go away till the next one. eventually it stops.

took me about 3 nights of doing this,, and i have never felt the restless leg sensation again,, about 2 years ago i did this.

but one can't relent,, have to go through the uncomfort,, till it goes away for good. worked for me anyway,, cheers dutty
 
Nivek, that was wounderous. I wish it had been that easy with Dale's case, but then it was due to his kidneys failing. We just didn't know it at the time. It would have been nice if cannabis could alleviate restless leg. The meds they prescribed messed with his head and probably didn't do his liver any good either. Before the meds we came within days of me sleeping on the couch because I wasn't sleeping at all. His body never really sleeps. Between sleep apnea and restless leg there's not much chance. I've adapted. There was no other choice since I married him so I wouldn't have to sleep alone. :laughtwo:

I've always felt that your ability to believe is the foundation of healing. Couple that with a playful nature and anything is possible. The power of the human mind is limitless, as your testimony shows. It's all in the belief system.
 
Hey sue not to dig but did dale drink or has he had diabetes awhile? I only ask cause I do drink a lot and it seems to have only been effecting me since my mid to late twenties.

Dale was diagnosed in 2000, but we know it was destroying his heart for at least two years before that. It runs in his father's side of the family. It was complications of diabetes that killed his dad. It's been a long battle. We never were much for alcohol Dutty and he's only been a fan of the occasional dark beer. Occasionally, as in I've not seen him have more than 2 over 34 years. :laughtwo: I took a job that required testing in 2003 to force us to stop smoking (I knew we couldn't afford to support Dale's needs and I needed a way to keep us from trying) and kept that job for nine years. Nine years when we had no cannabis at all! I still can't believe I did that to us.

During that time he took to drinking, but his preference was ozo. Wicked drink, ozo. And absinthe, a super-expensive drink with a lot of processing before you drink. He has unusual tastes. In all, we only did alcohol for about two years and it got really old. Two years ago his PC prescribed oxy for the pain in his legs and we traded it to a friend for cannabis. Cannabis works much better for pain relief and has the added benefits of keeping his appetite healthy and helps him stay creative. That's how I found my way to 420. When he had vascular bypass last year the pain in the legs vanished and with it the oxy and our connection for cannabis. No way can we afford to buy it every month.

I personally have never had a single beer in my entire life. Fundamental Christian upbringing. Alcohol was a curse of the devil. :laughtwo: There's credible evidence to suggest that fermented foods, of which beer is one, are a beneficial complement to your diet. I certainly wouldn't quit Dutty. As long as Mrs. Dutty Panty is ok with it. :Love:
