The weed industry begins to mimic the wine industry and boutique weed growers form clubs, just like the wineries and we serve a couple thousand club members. There are several wineries minutes from where I sit who grow grapes, ferment and bottle wine and sell each bottle to club members who get it delivered (or pick it up at pick-up parties) 3 times a year.

The wineries have tasting rooms that range from funky to breathtaking and they pour wine all day long, selling by the bottle to visitors, who then sign up as club members and get regular shipments.

Good music, great views, good food, nice, friendly service......people LOVE it. Sub out weed for wine, increase the food sales....incorporate a few other sensual services like foot massage.....and have a cool event every month.

Let's hope and pray that weed follows the same post-prohibition path that alcohol did!

Now that good sir sounds like heaven. That's how simple life should be, we have over complicated the way of living and it adds to much stress and bs to what already is a challenging endeavor.

Yeah the only reason we are even able to do this is cause of zoning we are open space /agricultural so pretty much all of the above can fly. Everything you mentioned is on this island. No stores though just wedding venues a huge road side produce stand with ice cream and beers. Tons of farms. And there's a moratorium on any new marijuana grows in residential, commercial, industrial or rural but not open space or ag. I'll try and post up pics of potential location once I get time. Right off the top of my head I'm envisioning something like this:

Form an Events Planning LLC or other corporation.

Have said LLC plan a concert on your property for say 50-100 people. Doors open at 2PM, pre-event BBQ/picnic. Free herb.....120 bucks a ticket for the event. After a while, you won't always need a concert....and you can park a food truck onsite and let them manage the grub....just stage a stargazing event, or an organic growing seminar....you get the picture.

Since recreational use is legal, it's just a matter of creating a really lovely venue to enjoy cannabis and charging admission to the venue, while giving away the cannabis.

Like hand everyone a half ounce when they walk through the door or something....

Exactly! Who wouldn't want to do that?

I can see renting out the place to 50th Bday parties, weddings, family reunions, women's church retreats :angel: etc.

Here's a perfect example:

Around here until very recently wineries relied on volunteer labor for lots of things, including bottling, tasting room, shipping, etc. They put you to work for 8 hours, feed you, send you home with wine and hand out other swag including super good deals on wine for the rest of the year.

Then, the state decided that people shouldn't be allowed to volunteer! That's right, free association of friends helping friends at a winery is now a violation of state labor law.....assholes.

So the wineries merely put on "bottling seminars," for which they charge 20.00, which is refunded at the end of the day if a person stays the whole time. Nothing else has changed.

Yeah doc that pot fest I wrote about was very similar it was 10$ at the door if you weren't a vendor on the rec or mmj side. You walked in and they handed you joints and some blunts and there was edibles on all tables. There was a free dab bar and bong pong as well as live music. So your vision is happening. You should take a visit up here I got extra room.
 
i know Netherlands offer everything we pretty much need from a vacation but consider this: is Holland the right country for you? maybe you'd want something a little more sunny with tropic climate and a white sand beach outside your hotel. Well lucky for all you island lovers there are lots of recreational places like that in Jamaica where the prices are reasonable and the sun is always shining, the first thing you notice when you walk into your room is a nice stack of buds to get you through your first days until you get familiar and enstablish your own source, which believe me in Jamaica isnt that hard. You walk down the street and people are throwing ganja at you for a very reasonable price, ofc the quality is another thing, you gotta have an eye for detail to spot the good buds and push away the mid-grades.

i'm not sure if i can mention names of hotels cause of forum rules but if anyone is intrested in that kind of vacation just toss me a PM and ill give you what you need.

P.S. i like the idea of handing ganja at any event no matter what it is, i fail to see how half naked girls passing around champagne glasses is better than hot budtenders loading up d-nails

it's gonna take a lotto dying before the majority of folks stop thinking of 'pot smokers' as social misfits, lepers nearly. things did not become this way overnight,, and they will not unbecome this way overnight,, we all know that,, the evidence is clear.

i live in one of the most productive farming areas in the whole of canada,, this tiny valley is so fertile that some of the best fruit and veggies in the universe come from right here,, one can grow near anything here,,,, including grapes,, yep,, is true

now,, ,, though it has always been this way to a degree here,, now, a lot of the best farm land in this whole, 2nd largest country in the freakin world, is being turned into vineyards,, and that is great,, and good,, for wine lovers and all others, ok, i don't care,, but that is land that is not feeding this world,, it is providing the most destructive drug on this planet, alcohol, to the masses

and everyone is ok with that,,,seems

i dunno,, urine is a good fertilizer, whatever

I hear and agree on everything, except one angle,, wine is like marijuana, both are gifts from above. And marijuana abused is as destructive as wine.

Keep in mind, you don't need anything else but grapes and God given ingredients to makes wine, yes, it has alcohol as a result of the process but, don't blame the tool, blame the fool. No offense to anyone, I have alcoholics in my family who I love deeply. But, if their demon was marijuana or wine I bet they'd be better off. But, we all make our own decisions and I don't judge.

My point is, both wine and marijuana are God given. Hard alcohol, beer, they need a good amount of outside help to make them what they are. Much like crack and heroin

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but just like marijuana,, I'm a wine lover ;)
