Dutchman’s 1st Grow Ever: 2018

The 143 days is that from seed popping through the ground. That would put your veg about 9 weeks not counting a week as a seedling. I veg mine around 8 weeks and always start out with a nice canopy and then it goes to shit. I always have a couple of dominant stems and should be super cropping them but worry about ruining my biggest buds even tho I know my yield would be better with an even canopy. Yours is a nice example of what an even canopy can do. Congratulations nice job. This time around I'm going to strive to keep them even. Drop by my journal and give me some tips along the way. Supercropping won't ruin the buds on your leaders depending on when you crop it. It can actually make them bigger by forcing the plant to create additional pathways in the branch to bring nutes to the bud. I wouldn't do it late in flower but during stretch is not a problem. In fact, it's the best time to level the canopy so you can lower the lights!

Thanks, I was going to try it this run but the stems already felt woody and I was afraid they would snap. I'm going to this run and if they break they break. I've got pictures in my journal of the canopy. I could have put my lights a lot closer if I Would of super cropped. Hind sights 20/20 right.

Thanks Killian and the 143 days is from seed that is correct. My veg period was 84 days I belive I will have to double check.
I have a few of my main branches supercropped from early on in flower when I was bending the branches under the trellis net. Surprisingly they are the thickest and tallest colas on the entire plant!
I’ll showcase these supercrop a and their colas come harvest day.

Hey don’t get me wrong Shed EM2 is still a great looking pls t and has surprised me to say the very least with her turn around from the mutant growth! The colas she’s putting out are getting thicker but the smell difference between the 2 plants is so different! EM1 is sweet and tropical with a heavy fuel smell. EM2 is very pine and lemon smelling with a hint of ammonia haha. The mutant girl has some interesting tops as most of the mains “split” into 2-3 colas at each top! Very near looking and I’ll try to get some photos showing this!

All in all I’m very happy with both of these plants but I think just the shear size of EM1 and her beautiful colours are what captivate me the most. She’s just one impressive plant and I’m excited to get her finished off !

These girls just keep getting more beautiful and I can’t wait to harvest them! The big EM colours are amazing the smells are intense and powerful! As the crystal that is covering her is just gorgeous and thick she is calling me closer haha

The reveg is coming along and she has started putting out 3bladed fan leaves again. Slow and steady she’s coming back to a normal begging plant so I hope to start training her in another few weeks.

As you can see from the trichome photos we’ve got the sign of some ambers poking through so when might choppy chop time be! We will have to see!

As I’ve been adding to my collection of goodies and gadgets I found myself a watt meter.... something I can tinker around with a little bit tomorrow!

All in all these girls are growing like a dream.

No problems thus far and they are a site to behold! I can’t describe how I feel about EM1. She truly holds a special spot in my heart!
