actually I think for outdoor grows the leaves are more needed as a defense mechanism too. temp, moisture and light fluctuations must create certain amounts of stress. so I would imagine that the bulk of leaves no only are the solar collectors, but plant protectors too.

interesting thought tho. if I ever have land that I can gorilla a couple I will have to test out the theory.

so the talls and the smalls needed some fluids but the midsize did not. pots were still pretty heavy from the big drink they got the other day.

defol'd a couple girls. including the everlasting #3,(og#1). I didn't give her much choice tonight cuz she was a mess. super long thin stems on small and large fans everywhere.

Nice to see how a tent looks for a autoflower perp. grow. How big they get. Lots of info! I liked to see the results of defoilage, beautiful buds!
Not doing (defoiling) outdoors is probably a good idea. Because of my yard grow I will probably not plan to do a run in my tent until Nov. maybe. Really take my time, or I could rush and be online by Sept. before my yard harvest.

okie dokie, so last night I was tooooo tired to update this thread. but here goes.

all the girls look healthy n happy. getting phat. think i'm habing too much fun topping tho. seems just about every girl gets top'd now lol.

and I go in a few times a day to spread the leaves too, and tuck a few here n there. not totally sold on tucking, but I do see the benefit of doing it, just the results seem slower than a good ol defol. lmao

so I do multiple things to my girls. and they seem to enjoy it all.

#2 may just overtake #1 and finish first.

#3 will definitely get bumped past #6.

#'s 4,5,6 are budding nicely.

4 has the pollinated branch, on which, some of the leaves are turning on that branch.

5 is silver girl 2 and i'm still not sure those 2 branches are flipping, they keep on budding along. here's hoping eh.

6 is a tall plant like 3, nice tight nodes, she just might be a long cola'd girl if we are lucky. she's appearing that way.

the new girls bta and crk dwc are doing fine as frog's hair. updates for crk dwc are in her own journal.

apparently I really like dealing with that ginormous online retailer. ordered meters last wed, rec'vd mon, put in for a return mon, rec'vd new tds today, thur. bloody fantastic!!! first time ever dealing with them. prepaid return shipping included too. wow!!

ok here goes a wee update for your viewing pleasure and my info.

got some new crap for the camdamera today, so I was playing with that.....yep it'll be pic heavy. not too bad, I've done worse.

but with the new gear, I see more, and decided to flush #2 in the tub. she has gotten 4 gallons of clear tap put to her, she is draining as we speak. i'll have to keep an eye on her after she goes back into the tent. she sits atm with probably 15% amber over the whole plant. some with less some with more, so 15 is a guesstimate. but I figger i'm happy with her. so, I will probably let her pot dry, then either give her a day or so in the dark then harvest, or I will skip the dark. never done it before, but I've seen others mention it here. also considering a day in the cold, lol.

as for the rest of the harem. they are all looking good. got a couple pics of the lil blue treacle today too. she's puttin along.

lil update I worked at overnight lol.

#2 got her last defol. or as I was calling it as doing it, her "flush defol". nothing crazy, very picky as to what I took off. I just wanted to let the shine in. if ya know what I mean lol. also, I use the trim for butter or olive oil so having dried live leaves with trichs on them is worth a helluva lot more to me than just letting those fans turn yellow and die off. so in the drying bag they went.

added some more leaves to the drying bag from #'s 5 & 6. let me tellya #6 is sure a pretty lady. tall, lanky and tight nodes. real sweet girl there. gave her some light too. again, just a bit o trim. same deal for 5.

defol'd a bunch of other girls, some more, some less. some refused lol.

top'd I think it was 4 or 5 young'uns. they sure just pushing right along nicely.

no group shot today, just a few of #'s 2 & 6 proud papa and all eh.

so we'll start with the "flush defol'd" #2. she is sweeet n sticky. nice hand lotion while working lol.

here's all I took off of #2. not much at all, but added to whatever trim I get when done it adds up.

and #6 well, let's just say, she's got legs.....and she knows how to use them......
