No pain, Ive got 5 yr old seeds and wonder if I should keep them in the fridge or freezer? I get conflicting suggestions. Theyve been kept in empty prescription bottles in a paper bag in a dresser drawer.

In regards to seed storage there is a lot of different takes on it .. I have done dry storage at room temp and dry storage in the freezer . Since they are 5 years old I would not recommend putting them in the freezer as even with fresh bean some will die ( only the strong survive
, just like in Mother Nature ). For your beans if you have the ability I say put them in the fridge and don't take them out until you are going to use them . If I had fresh beans I would put them in the freezer , but what I would change is I would get a small ice cube tray and place as many as I would show on average in it add water and into the freezer ( labeled ) once frozen I would put them into ziplock bags with strains labeled on them . I would do this for two reasons .. Just like putting them in the fridge and not taking them out until your ready to use them , but if they are in the freezer and it goes out what are you going to do ? You have to scramble to keep them at that temp ( been there ) if you don't they are quickly at room temp and the. Refreshing you take the chance of killing them . Secondly the ice block of water keeps them clean and when your read you just take it out put the cube in a glass and let mother nature take care of the germination ..much like a slow thaw and soak from winter to spring

well well here we are again just truckin right along....
girls are doin good. lsd 25's wanted a good drink today so they all got the clear. silver 3 in 5x5 is drinkin about a half gallon a day right now of clear.
wanna take down #1 but she's just all lil popcorn so i'm hoping they fatten up a bit first lol. she's drinking about a half gal of clear every second day, as is punchy.
oh and speaking of punchy......someone asked awhile ago, you know who you are, let's see if you find this....if i could name one for you. my answer,,, they only get names if they are oddballs...well we have a new oddball, one of the lsd 25's is coming up alot like punchy did, and here's what punchy looks like tonight...
beautiful eh....with any luck this lsd will do the same massive growth too.
kinda butt ugly thing eh, and small compared to the rest.
so here she is with her new tag.....congrats!!!
and i believe it was birdie asking somewhere, probably in her journal, about staking up weak long stemmed lil girls. here is my take on doing it. albeit now i am using 14 ga house wire, super easy to form, and there's always scraps and short ends left after a project.
so this shots for you birdie....that way you can see what i was describing.
these are the new mums coming along, they like the window but they are stretching.
and heres a shot of silver girl 3 she is getting ready to blow chunks right away...
oh, and i guess an overall of the 4x8 upon opening tonight. things got a bit rearranged after this but hey theres tomorrow right.

Yes they are very airy ...and they hold the perfect amount of moisture for a long time ... I seen roots popping out in one of those ...oh and they work great in hydro

yeh hydro is why i decided to try em.
i do like that they drain the excess water very fast, while retaining enough very long.
they are more solid than peat, so they wouldn't be putting dissolved solids into the dwc.

They don't affect the ph like peat /coco or rock wool do depending on your hydro system

late with updates worked til after 4 am on stuff last night.
girls are good.
most of the "mums" got planted along with the amphetamine auto.
group shot...
and i finally got tired of fartin around with the original #1 dta seed. P.I.T.A. sucked trimming and i'll be lucky to get a 1/2 oz off her.
beautiful plant but mostly air n stix.
here im down to the last main stem to trim up.
thats it for now....

couple shots for today. nothing too exciting. lil bit of rearranging. 7,8,9 got flushed. the mums seemed to enjoy the 5x5 heat in their humdity dome. lsd 25 and bta are lookin pretty good too.

well lots going on today, forgot to take one pic but i aint done yet, so mebbe i'll get an after pic or two.
lsd25's all got top'd and had their pots top'd up as well. usually i like to have good room for a flush. or room to top up if i need to...looks like i needed to this time. this is the after pics i didn't get yet...coffee time lol.
"sara" got her weird bloody upside down leaves removed, opening her up to a few tops lol. and she wasn't even top'd yet, lol.
mums are still happy "under the dome".
dta 10 known as "silver girl 3" is doing fantastic!!!
and i am definately happy with my homemade silver...
look at those buds on her other stems....hopefully all will be full of seeds!!!
oh, and maybe ya'll recall the mini project coming off of her, when i was setting her up for spray?
she has turned out quite nicely!!!
