Dusty's Winter Grow

Thanks for taking the time man. I am sure the 48*3w reflector does a good job flowering a two foot by two foot area. how ever many you can squeze in there lol. I am currently using this unit next to a 96*3w reflector. I am pleased with my topleds. I do think they could be more effecient with the use of a secondary lens. the single plant yielded 3oz of bud using just the 48*3w reflector.

Ya I saw you have the two lights now, that's why I asked about the fill.

Thanks for the info

Great grow brother although I must admit I hav been scared of cfls but u guys r starting to change my mind

There's some truly impressive work being done with them. In the end its just a tool. If you know how to use the tool...well lets just say a great light doesn't make a great grower.

Boy that's right, ClosedCircuit! I have some decent equipment and don't have a clue what I'm doing!! I's guys like you, Dusty, Mono and all the rest that get poor slobs like me on the right path! Keep sharing and caring!!
Peace, Andy.:bravo:

I probably should have designed the light to have denser coverage...but live and learn. It suits my needs for now. Though, I'll probably be buying the 48x3 or 400w from Mars.
Either of those models will cover your cab just fine.

I just want everybody to grow great cannabis plants, or not give a shit if we grow our own.

Dusty, I'm with you on that brother. The sample I just accidentally broke off of one of my plants last week... even though it wasn't ready... was still the absolute best smoke I've ever had! There is no comparison to the garbage on the street calling itself weed. If we stick together as a community and keep fighting the good fight some day no one will give a shit that we're growing a plant. :Namaste:

One quick question that is off topic and unrelated, but you all my have a 5 second answer too? Is there a stain of weed that is highly flavorable and aromatic? Like pipe tobacco? You know, apple or cherry or chocolate - like aromas and flavors ? Any recommendations?
Thanks, Andy.

I'd have to say I'm one of those poor slobs too. I'm new too all of this. I just try to take in as much information as possible.

Comparable to pipe tobacco...i would say no. But if you are looking for a leafier smelling plant like tobacco then id say look at a hash or lush plant. Some kush plants have a spicy smell and taste to them. Cinnamon, from my knowledge , isn't a prominent cannabis aroma. However, there are strains that smell like vanilla.

Thankyou CC. My mom is getting up there in age and is a non smoker. Sometimes I get a small complaint of the smell. I was just wondering if there was something that would be less objectionable to her. I may even be able to persuade her to take a toke. Lol.
But I agree with the hash idea. It's one of my favorites, if made well. Vanilla sounds interesting though. May be worth investigating. Thanks for the tips, Andy.

There are fairly mild strains like Northern Lights which still have the typical skunky fruity smell but is pretty tame when growing and smoking. You could look into a blue berry derivative strain that would smell sweeter. Just google low odor cannabis strains. Just don't believe anyone who tells you to grow a diesel strain. Shit stinks!

Nirvanas papaya description is whiskey pipe tobaco aroma. When I get room I am going to grow this strain too but it will be a while.

Got a Nirvana Papaya going into flower in about 4-5 weeks, i'll let you know if thats what it actually smells like.. I'm lead to believe its a greasy, sickly sweet smell, like rotten fruit almost.
