I believe the 1 hour setting is for alcohol infusions not oil. I’m planning on infusing some condensed milk and it’s recommended to not go over two hours or it will spoil. But for coconut, grapeseed, and EVOO I always use the 8 hour setting.

I'm not sure if this is a bad idea or not but my water comes very cold from earth's tap so sometimes, I boil a pit of water and add to the cold jug to heat it up but am thinking about getting one of those aquarium heaters Gazoo uses.

I thought the MB2 had a minimum amount of 2cups of oil. (35g in 2 cups would still be plenty strong - I do 16-24g for 2cups).

Hey Archie...hope your day is groovin. About the water temp. thing. For growers worried about the water being too cold, just let it sit for 24 hrs. at room temp.65-75F for 24 hrs. to warm it up before use. Like has been mentioned...our plants like it to be on the warmer side as apposed to really cold.No good keeping the plants in a nice warm enviro ,...then soaking them with cold water,..not good!Got the same thing under my flood tray in my tent. Somewhat related since we are all dealing with colder temps (except this Aussies), what about my water? I keep my water out in the garage and while I’m in no danger of it freezing, I do worry that too cold of water could be a shock to the roots. Anyone got advice one way or the other?

Yup....same , same Buck. I found paying for the 5 gal. jugs of distilled i buy , at 9 dollars per two jugs...it works out to a few hundred dollars per grow. But for the peace of mind and repeatability i get from it.....priceless. Big deal!!! One ounce's worth of produce....small price to pay,..IMO. Cheers my friend. Like i said, very cool to have you about....I'm like Duggs, I gotta buy water, I keep it in those 5 gal water cooler jugs, clear blue ones. I just keep mine off of the concrete and it stays just little under room temps. Damn concrete is like a heat sink. I think as long as it's above 60 you should be ok

I get 10 of those jugs filled for $12, I'm paying $50 a month lol, but still cheaper than $100 water bill plus filter. Hopefully I'll have new well drilled this spring, I'm sitting on great spring water.
I gotta get around the mag more, I've been discriminating lol, I've only been watching high brix grows lol. Doc has done a few job with the kit, I'm getting the hang of it now. Just to easy, but you gotta get few runs to get comfortable with.

Everything else is in FFOF with OC+. I figured I’d let the soil cook and research my butt off before taking the plunge. I think I’m ready though, especially with my super locked in VPD!
I’ll be starting a journal specifically for my run in Docs kit. I’ll call it “Chix with Brix “

You got it down good and proper Gazoo. Like the idea for the 5 gal. jugs, getting the temps up an hour or so before use.
Also the air stones,..why am i not surprised. you remind me of me, sometimes. I got all that stuff too, from before , when i used to make ACTS all the time. Applying some of that knowledge to Doc's gear will do nothing but improve your grow.
Oh ya, and about that heat mat. That's great news about the 5 degree increase in that space. Mine should be perfect ,,...and i'm hoping the other heater doesn't even come on. That would be sweet.
