Duggan Does Desfran: Destroyer X Destroyer!

Checked in on the ladies ....they went nuclear on me....
Gave Brix ,turned them 180, raised one of the 240b's. a few inches...done for the day...took about 10 min's.
Stood there and watched em for a bit....just lovin these Desfrans (Destroyer X Destroyer). They stand at 24" now. They were flipped at 20" ,just like Gray's POTY Destroyer. I've got lots of room up top so ,i'm ready! Cheers Gang,and have an awesome night .

Looks like it Duggan. LOL! I'm loving the vent system. Runs super quiet. I was home this afternoon when the lights went out and realized I'd set the timer on the fan to go off at the same time. Usually I'm still with Dale at that time. I love it when the universe watches out for me. Made some adjustments to compensate for the room getting warmer in the evenings. Working on the learning curve Duggan.

You did well. This system will serve me well for years and years.

Oh SS...quick Q . ...why do you have the fan/filter on a timer? Let it alone.Let it run ALL the time. The main reason i got mine was for smell...when it's not running,the air is not being exchanged in the tent...your enviroment changes. keep an eye on the speed setting too OK...never run it below about 65-70. 70-75 is perfect for that combo. I'm pretty sure that's how my filter has lasted so long....changing the pre-filter alot,and only pulling air thru it at a reduced , but highly effective rate. The only time i turn mine off,is when i harvest (trim) then i sweep up and clean the GR a bit.The fan would want to draw all that dirt and dust into the filter....not good....clogs it up faster.It's the little things...."Never did mind...about the little things" Sue...name the movie that quote's from. Cheers...what a hoot.

I second that...I got a big fan and filter and run it on the lowest speed controller setting, running things at full speed, not saying you are wears them out, rule of thumb on mechanical things.....run at no more than 80%...

You got it brotha. With these inline fans we're all using ...they will last alot longer if run at no more than ...like you said 80% Now...that being said Nate, they are continuous duty motors and can run ,and be very happy 24/7 with no issues. When things like this fail...i don't handle it very well at all....someone once said "buy cheap...buy twice". That's why i got the Ostberg fan and Can #33 filter .. Cheers eh Nate.

Why thank you kind sir. I suspected this and was getting ready to ask you. How sweet of you to get there before me. I have no idea why I put it on a timer. It runs so quiet it won't bother my sleeping. Of course, I haven't slept at home more than once in about four days now. I'm staying in his hospital room again tonight. Tomorrow my own bed!!!

I absolutely love this fan Duggan. I smile every time I open the tent up.

hey duggs, you seem to know a good deal about exhaust fans, etc. Right now my GR is running around 75-80 degrees with anywhere from 45-65 percent humidity. I'm about 25 days into flowering and I'm looking for a fan. Smell isn't so much an issue for me. I just wanna get my tent to perfect temps and humidity. Can you recommend a fan for me? My tent is 5x5. I was looking at some 6-8 inch exhaust fans but I'm just not sure on brand, quality, etc...

Mornin Boogs....go with a 6" combo...not a 4". I would recommend just what Sweetsue got and what I have. Try and get an Ostberg 6" fan with a Can#33 filter. This will be peachy for ya. Put it in with a speed controller set at no more that 80% and no less than 65%. I found that at 70-75% with this combo in that size of area is just about perfect Boogs. Check out SS installation ....it's very good.Cheers eh.

Did my daily check in on the girls.....27" at canopy....when i flipped they were at 20".What worries me is that this growth isn't even the stretch yet...they're just growing that fast.Flipped on Sun.....7" since then....what?Ya ,that's right , no BS. Go figure eh. Never seen growth like it before. They're not just growing up iether...it's all over...they're touching the sides of the GR now.And so the challenge begins Gang.
I'm gonna hold off with pics for a bit....for the shock and awe effect eh!
