Just to clear this up....i have just emailed Cali Connection to get the exact lineage of there BDH.

Thanks Gray...that is not good . I heard two bad things from that.....mold and OG.
Now i may reconsider another companion for the Durban Poison...ffs!!
 
Well Blue Dream is a Haze itself, so ...

I was just surprised. I'd seen the strain before but assumed they crossed BlueDream with a Haze. :p

And the description rates the yield as "Large", so maybe that grower got a slow pheno.

Speaking of Durban, I had a top on my Bushmans x Durban that started to mold so I broke it up and the clean parts are dry enough to smoke. :) I like it!

It has a buzz a lot like a Lumbo/Mex/Thai. There's something very comfortable about it - a happy social buzz. Although I caught myself in a dreamy state for a while last night ...

Anyway, it was a bit of a surprise after the other Africans I've had. One thing I noticed - it has a pronounced clover smell to it right now. It may simply be pre-cure, but I've also been interested in the terp b-ocimene. It keeps showing up high in the terpene tests on strains that I like. And b-ocimene has a fresh green field smell to it. Hmm. :)

Yup...i got some of those two yrs. Ago from Nismo.Ran them in a journal here...u not see/ remember ? I had problems with those as they were highly unstable. Still have some of those beans but will NOT run them again until Canna and Nis fix them some.Remember they didnt know wat they were...photo or auto...had weird 3 bladed leaves and never really produced much for me....was actually a very disappointing grow.

Hey Van...ya....not sure about the bdh now...still doing some research on the backround of them.I read it was a cross of Blueberry and SSH but also is listed differently elsewhere...so...dunno.

Ack, I forgot about the autos. Yeah, heheh, sorry. Don' know what I was thinking - they aren't stable ... may have been the DurBush. :bongrip: Yeah, blame it on the DurBush. :bongrip:
 
Well whatever you pick, I am sure it will be a good show brother. I gotta pick a strain today. I fudged my last germination attempt.....thought I dropped the seed in the hole and apparently missed. Went digging in the dirt a week after dropping and saw it sitting on top of the soil (really??? wtf??)! Opps....guess I shouldn't germinate when high LOL! Or at least put the cheaters on so I can see! Tried planting it but don't expect to see anything.....we will see.

How was the smoke on the DC Duggs? I hear most people that have smoked it, speak favorably of it. I have 5 beans of that cross....gonna pop em some day.
 
Heheh, I saw you post about your seed, and it reminded me of the time one of mine sprouted from the rim of the cup. I splooshed water on it when I wet it down and had splashed the seed right out to the rim. I watch carefully now. :confused:

And after Duggs reminded me - don' plan on any two DCs being the same. :p
 
That DC was good but nothing special..imo.
They grew really weird....it was like they didn't know what to do with themselves..very confused looking .Three bladed leaves and a low yield...very low yield actually.
Nismo agreed that he needed to refine them a lot more and try to get the auto completely out of them.
I wont run them again.Too many other superior strains out there i wanna try.

Its a tough one to work with really. No male pollen in the equation. You would need to cross one of them,with something complimentary to get a male into the equation, and then start working a backcross or two in there with a nice female that had the effects and colors you wanted.

Its really too bad that there wasn't a regular version of Dark Devil or Carnival.
 
Ya eh Van..know what your sayin bud.
There are other strains out there i wanna try ..so...still have a whole bunch of fem Star Pupil too in my collection..so...Have to make a decision soon.
