I'm with ziggy on this. Both females. At least that's what I hope.

I'm voting female, even though...
I did my best using the sexing technique on the 8 seeds I started (4 of each strain). My results were not great: Of the 4 Golden Tigers, I have 1 confirmed female. The other 3 are looking male, but I'm not positive yet. Of the 4 Grape Apes I have 1 confirmed male, 2 confirmed females and 1 TBD. Basically, I have the same mix I might expect from random seed selection. At least I will likely have four plants to finish but it may be 3 GASS and only 1 GT+.
Mornin Major, fu..k sakes brotha, that's not good! crappy results....what does this mean for the sexing video? Not good...at least you'le have at least the four you wanted to finish. Four fems but not exactly how you wanted it. Now i'm getting nervous for my MLI's. If they are both males i'm screwed for yield this round , if they are both fems i'm golden.Cheers Major and Gang.Have a great day ....i'm going to mix up my next batch of soil for a re-cook of second run soil , soon to be used as third run with my next four plants that have yet tbd.
I wish I had tracked which seed was which. Maybe we'd learn more if we could match the seeds' pictures to the male/female plants. I'm not completely convinced it makes a difference, but my kids got off to a rough start. If stress really makes them lean toward male, that could explain my results. Only 1 plant has been culled so far. It is possible I'll end up with 7/8 female (but doubtful).
There's no doubt stress plays a significant factor, but Major, let's have a little more positivity. I'm going to keep better track if I use regular seeds. Most of mine are feminized.
Time for breakfast. I'm finally almost completely over the cold. What a rough week. Whew!
I'm glad you are on the mend!
The part about stress that strikes me as weird is this:
Most plants and animals, when stressed, try to insure survival of their species. A male plant can pollinate any number of females. But a female is on its own and is responsible for the next generation through its seeds. It seems to me, in times of stress, nature would tend to favor females. Let a few males pollinate as many females as possible = more seeds = more plants in the following generation. With just a few females and lots of males, there could be a more varied mix of genetics, but with much fewer plants to insure success. Dunno - just thinking out loud.
Soil is all mixed up as per Doc's. special instructions. ... <snip>
... cheers gang and have an awesome night.
Excellent - always thinking ahead! How much did you make - the usual amount?
I just had a few puffs and an Alphadelic so I'm doin' great. I highly recommend it.
