DrZiggy's 2nd Journal - ACE Seeds - High Brix - LEDs

Congratulations on your harvest. And I'm in for your seed journal.

Congrat's Zig! Another beautiful haul!

Hey Ziggy, :high-five: Any day now. :slide:

You've tried every conceivable container for germinating for these little azalea pots. What's your preferred method and, if I may be so bold, why? Have you seen any advantage to tiering when using the azalea pots? Working out the fine details before I drop the seeds. I'm actually trying to decide between planting directly in the azalea pots, planting into party cup size or into little Dixie cups. Any thoughts?

Damn Ziggy, you should open a dispensary with all the different exotic stuff you got. I am really interested in the golden tiger, I got seeds on the way. Now is that a true golden tiger or a Ziggy cross? Great job again bud!
:high-five:

This was Golden Tiger from ACE. The seeds ,which there are a few :) will be Golden Tiger(+) . I have only the Panama(+) and Zamaldelica(+) growing presently.

fresh GT...It smells like a limey unripe mango. It tastes..yes I don't have the restraint Doc has...I ADMIT IT, OK????? It was a small bowled glass pipe..my NOOB bong broke the other day.
..it tastes slight citrus, not yet smoothed out..the buzz was fast to hit..last about 30 min. very thoughtful, salt creative..
looking forward to more...:)

definitely !!

Sweetsue, I tiered these cup started Panamas (+) because i didn't have available azalea pots :)

the dixie cups are too fragile...the paper ones i used and after a day or two the cup gets too soft. The beer cups work great. I tried the cup with in the cup...but when trying to remove the bottom cut I felt the roots were being tugged a lot. this was imo, from the roots attaching to the cut holes in the bottom.

i may upcan some of my Panama(+) SWICK into bigger pots..there are only 5 females from originally i think 9 plants...they had to be bent a lot..o I'm going to try to bury them ...LOL

Ok, I'm going to go with beer cups this time. I can see how they'd be easier to slip out of for transplanting too.

How big are you thinking of upcanning the Panama(+) into? I'm considering doing the next tray with one gallons and compare the yield between the two trays to see if it's worth it. You're having such good luck with the azalea pots and my tiny pots that I'm sewing are about that same size. I'm just curious if that increase in soil volume will make a significant difference.

I'm still on the lookout for deeper trays for the last two stages. Thinking about multiple trays, say for two pots each. Easier to shift around.

Ok. I'm starting to ramble. Blame it on the Dark Devil. :laughtwo:

Ahhh Ziggy, it feels so good. :battingeyelashes:

sorry I am late been watching sweetsue and saw she refers to you often so came to sub

Never seen turpentine as a smell but it does make sense :)

I didn't see it. :) I smelt it and must've dealt it!! :)

and to those that may ask, no, its not ammonia I'm smelling...:)

this is an oily paint smell from 2 jars..2 other jars have a slight bakery smell plus the cherry berry, but less

If you want to get set up for growing when the weather gets cooler, remember to get a jump on it. DBHBB needs to cook a month before planting. Time to plan a fall grow.
