DrZiggy's 2nd Journal - ACE Seeds - High Brix - LEDs

Ziggs....you've created a monster in there. Your gonna need something...I just don't know what yet .Here...have some Mazar. :passitleft: Cheers eh.

Thank you duggan!...here, to help us think, some PEX x Jock Horror..:passitleft:

i figure 4 weeks for most of the ACE...earlier for the early seeded Panamas.. the buds are filling in...they had 3 doses of Cat and now on GE/Transplant, Tea...

How far out are ya Zig?

scrubby, to answer your question..march 7, seeds were planted in beer cups and then 3 of them were tiered onto a 10 gallon softee.
3 more 10 gal softees were done with other ACE strains.

fast forward 75-77 days we have a jungle..each strain pollenated with possibly 3 other strains. There are only 8 out of the 12 started.
i will end up with some very interesting strains and phenos. :)

i figure i have a month for most of the plants.. hard to tell LOL

What does tiering the pots do for the roots? Sorry if this has been answered, just an interesting technique I've never seen. Is this for HB soil only or?

TheBoogyman, Ive only done it with HB but I would think it would work with any soil. My reasoning, going vertical with a root bound small cup has more roots starting at top of the bigger tiered, onto pot. I am growing from seed under 11/13 lighting with LEDs.
i have had some decent results with the tiering. Other members do it too :)

You do get impressive results, but it seems like you would have more roots by transplanting rather than tiering. You still have just as many roots from the bottom of the cup, plus the plant can send out roots from all sides into the bigger container.

Major, good point and good idea to test... :)

Very Cherry Berry :)

Cherry! Interesting ...

Mine were cedar and pine ... fruitiness might mean higher sugar ...

I wish you had a refractometer, DrZ. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I will ask some friend if they have one and If I can borrow it for a few hrs.
all 3 Panamas ..syrupy and sticky the smell and buds are. :)

The Golden Tiger is very different. I need to smell her alone. My Purple hazes are blooming nicely now.

Take an under canopy shot of a typical upper bud and a shot of the same side of the bud from the outside angle. If I can see top and bottom of the leaf and petiole and get a good look at the stem and bud structure I can give you a good idea.

Here you go Doc, sorry..i couldn't find my machete...:)

Thank you!

I'd expect to see 14+ ... :bravo:

You should start seeing them seriously bulk up pretty soon. That calyx structure looks very familiar - buncha skinny ones with tons of pistils. Then they swelled up. :slide:

Nice leaf health!
