DrZiggy's 1st Journal Featuring High Brix - LEDs & Cool Strains

Good morning Zigg. I have been thinking about the SWICK thing too. I think it would be best to try and keep any and all drenches out of the swick otherwise im afraid we are going to end up with a moldy mess down there in no time. I really want to try this system I think it will make life a lot easier but since a couple people are already trying it I figure I will wait and see how it works out with our drenching first. The thought of cleaning out a kiddie pool half full of moldy pearlight does not sound appealing.

Seems like a lot of the Ace strains from the pictures are a lighter green color than most of the strains we typically run is this true in reality or are is just the lighting / pictures?

I don't think any of my ace seeds took so I am going to start a new batch this week sometime. I will probably plant a few of the panama and try for them as my first pure sativa since yours look like they will finish faster than the others. Might as well go for the one that will get me some smoke sooner on the first and then I can go for the longer running ones.

Thanks for all the info bud, loving your grows and journals as always :high-five:

Have a good day!

smokey, I'm trying the SWICK in small pot, azalea pots..5-6" diameter..
Regarding the color, I never grew these before. maybe GT can chime in. I think mine are healthy. :) :scratchinghead:
Docs Lemon Paki are light colored too..

I'm going to need a weedwhacker in there :) The tent in J2 is a jungle. Not much left to move lights up...I will use the eyelet bars, will give me 7" more..

Did you try starting the seeds in plain ProMix?

I think your plants are healthy too thats why I was thinking they are just lighter color than most strains, maybe this is the landrace thing showing itself, dunno. Someone else is growing Ace and I am almost positive theres are lighter colored too or I could just be stoned...

I have been using first run soil to plant the seeds I can try using plain pro mix this time. I assume there is still no need to worry about ph? It seems like every time I try and plant seeds the weather gets funky and the room is cooler than normal. Maybe I will try the flower tent next time it runs a bit warmer than my veg tent.

Thanks Zigg!

So I just checked in and it could be a coincidence but after thinking they were all failures last night I decided to drop a light to about 6-8" above the cups to give them a little heat before tossing them. I just looked and one of them is now above ground so it could just of been a temp problem.

:bravo:

Temperature is a bigger part of the sprouting process than I've given it credit for. Whenever I up the temp, I get much better results. :thumb:

It's a good question Ziggy.....all the products are living. I'm worried about a bloom. I think I'd stick with fresh water.

this SWICK thing is like a Hempy-Soil Hybrid...:)

heres some pics..
