DrZiggy's 1st Journal Featuring High Brix - LEDs & Cool Strains

Happy 420 Friday it is...3-4 days before expecting it. Another awesome company to deal with, just like Docs delivery...
Anyway here it is..

Friggin awesome looking! Havent plugged it in.

I dont know if im putting this in new tent with the upcoming grow. I have 2 P450s already..im in a 4x4 and I think a 3rd 450 , the new version, different inside and out!:) :bravo: would be too much. So i will place in old tent for newbies and non420 delectables :)

Do you know if they both made it? Were they like siamese twins?

One tends to crowd out the other, but I don't think they were "conjoined". The one I recall best looked like an afterthought - a tiny thing coming out of the soil - but it grew as well as it could for awhile. I can't imagine how you'd separate them. :laughtwo:

Nice light! We're all goin' kinda nuts with the LEDs, aren't we - 1000watts per 4x4. :laughtwo:

Mine is the in the upper right cup, in corner

Theyre now buried to the neck :)
Those are the ACE seeds..doing well. I watered the cups from the bottom and a little on top before adding the soil to cover the stems. I did not water the added soil. i will wait a day or 2 before doing so to discourage dampening off. The soil has some moisture in it.

I kinda hold Curso and you, and the rest of the HBers responsible :) for getting me into LEDs. My first ever grow just over a year ago was w CFLs, with nutes..something about chasing the pH- looking for where I hid the rake..nutes way more expensive than should be, and chasing the grow instead of directing the grow, didnt make sense after reading Docs threads. The CFLs were fine for my first grow.
Then I saw the other HBers convert to LEDs, including you, GT :)..then Doc went Platinum(in more ways than one) :)..i knew I wasnt in Kansas anymore..started with Mars leds, and grew great stuff with them. I have 2 smaller ones(196w?) that work 100% still..my 1200 works about 50%, not being used presently.

Hows this for a post 4:20pm hit of some good sh..weed..whack attack? :)

Grow and store evenually enough strains, 24 of them, to be able to smoke a different one every hour if one so chooses...or has a strain designated to each hr of the day..

Keep the little bong away from DrZiggy this round...

I just counted ...

I have 21 strains onhand now. :cheesygrinsmiley: I just received another 5, and I have another three crosses of my own.

Well, I plugged in the new P450.. Wow! It is friggin bright! :) hung it in old tent(will replace crippled tent, along with new carbon scrubber) in 4wks or so with same Gorilla Lite as new tent)
The new P450 is SUN bathing :) the seedlings.
The seedlings, which were buried yesterday to their necks with soil were placed in one big enough tote, and then drenched from bottom( there are holes in the cup bottoms ;)for 10-15 min with gallon or so (went up approx 2" on cup) of weak Transplant water and Tea(normal Transplant drench recipe 15ml/5 gal H2O diluted by 50%. Tipped the cups to the sides to drain, as directed by Doc, and placed in tote. I lightly sprayed room temp H2O to moisten only, on top of seedlings dry soil. Placed tote under LED with both switches(growth and bloom) ON. Just like this grow.
They are already responding, 1 hr later! to their light drench feeding and new light. Amazing! :thumb: They were sprouted under the topleds(192W?? I will check) 1/2 are 2 1/2weeks old(19 days from seed plant after seed soak), the other 1/2 is 1 1/2 weeks(12 days from seed plant after seed soak)
I also filled 4 x 10 softpots with ready to go HB soil thats been sitting for several months next to tent. I Put 1 cup of EWC, and 1/4 cup Roots!, and watered with the remainder of the Transplant /Tea drench from above. This is to prep the soil for the seedlings. I am thinking of upcanning the cups tiered onto a 4 or 5" pot then when sex'd and ready, :) 4,5 ACE strains; 3 plants will be tiered onto each of the 4 10 gal softpots. These will be placed under 2 x P450s with both G&B switches on, 11/13

A new journal will be started for this grow this coming week. :) hopefully you will join me.

What do you do for storage of your bud? I've been thinking what would be best to cure and store in...like where you would put your jars. I want something discrete so friends and visitors I smoke with dont know I have obscene amounts of cannabis.

Do you have a pantry, basement, garage? Once dried and cured, and stored properly, buds cnlast long time. Doc said other day he knows of bud vacuum sealed in mylar bags( food grade, im sure ;)) lasts years.. I think it was duggan, he said he vacuum seals his dried and cured buds in ball jars( me too) and puts in freezer.. :)

I store mine in quart ball jars with a boveda, in a "cool dark" place. I have vague memories of freezing not being a good idea - disrupts plant tissues. I freeze all my trim, but I only want the trichs from that. I wonder if thawed herb has the same smoothness.

It may increase certain things..terps wont dissipate as quickly in colder temps(and in vacuums :)), especially frozen ones.. I have several experiments to try..this will be another one.
