Good morning all...

I wish you a speedy recovery Jaga.

Trying to evict a young quail from my garage... It snuck inside yesterday when the Copper Hawk was hunting. I spooked it and it flew atop the cabinets, so I opened all the doors...

It stayed the night, so I opened up again and it seems to like civilized living or perhaps as the garage is my smoking lounge...

It's not injured... Each time I tried to flush it outside, it would fly out of reach and either land on the roll up garage door or a cabinet... It's pooped about 8 times in various locations, so gotta be getting hungry.

It's alert and seems fine this morning and while I'm not 100% sure I think it's the same male who camped in my greenhouse for a day... But unlike the greenhouse where it stayed that day, were now about 24 hours...

Critters... What ya gonna do?

OK here is what you do. go down to KFC and get a bucket of chicken. show it to the Quail and grin with a evil grimmest if that don't work share some of the biscuits with him:)
 
That's what you get for not chasing it off. last year I had a rabbit I let stay all summer ,then I chewed the bark off my cherry trees while I was south for winter. Don't feed it or it will stay......But quail is tasty. at least the rabbit did not poop white shit everywhere

Hey fishy, have you ever smelled a bullfrog? Some of my weed smells like a bullfrog when you touch it, then the smell changes to minty perfume.....crazy.......I never even heard of any plant that does that. Wake and bake with cali weed............it does the trick! How many times do you think I should top the plants I'm gonna grow next? I'm only growin two under the induction light in the 10 gallon pots.

I tried... Darn thing would fly and crap while moving to another cabinet. I thought it has left, so I closed down the door, leaving it open about a foot for ventilation, but when I returned the quail was atop the garage door looking out where it stayed most of the day.

Wife had her windshield replaced... The quail watched... The gardeners mowed... The quail watched. Once it was quite, I opened the door with the quail enjoying the ride as if it was a Magic Mountain attraction...

I figured hunger would motivate it this morning...

I have a high powered GAMO hunting air rifle with a 4x .22lr scope and when the rabbits decide my lawn is preferable to what nature provides I eliminate them with precision headshots out to 15 yards which is the longest shot inside my yard.

The bucks are very territorial and can control an acre or more of breeding area... Get the buck! ;-)

I don't technically feed any wild life, other than my birds... I toss the kills near a coyote trail and they are gone in less than 24 hours. Best looking coyotes live in SoCal!

I shouldn't joke, but city folk provide more food than required for our pack of four coyotes and Bobcat.
 
I think I have tried every one of them migra stuff if anything it is a ganja tea with a teaspoon of butter that will do it otherwise I am just out an down , Amazingly enough my mate form the close just gave me some rather good leaves an so it did work befor that I was trying my head on a chushion in the dark:yummy::peacetwo:I LOVE GANJA
