Dr Bob Comes Home With Fruit Punch & Lemonista Aid - So Please Don't Be Critical

Real perdy girls Doc!

Good to see you Ciscokid! Thanks for the compliment on the girls. I will be sure to pass it along to them. I bet they :bigblush:

your not a doctor your more of a specialist to me looking:thumb:

Oooooh, sounds exclusive to me. Maybe I need a new set of letters after my name. Dr Bob PHD THC CBD ROFL

AMAZING PLANTS and pics:Hookah:

We need two lines on that Hookah so we can just hang out and watch our gardens together. I need iHookah 2.0 that works over TCP so we can just use the Firefox plugin. :Hookah::Hookah:

Such beautiful bud shots. I love the colours.

Thanks Blaze. They are getting to the end of the road and even my indoor garden is getting fall colors. Love it. :high-five:

Happy Monday Dc. Bob

:gasp!: you've burnt the tips :high-five:

I knew there was an aggressive nutrient feeding maniac lurking somewhere beneath Doc's complex persona!

J/k Comrade, you're still doing great, that little burn won't stop them.

Could you tell us what PPM you reached before backing down?

Looking Nuggety, Doc!:thumb:

Vlad

The odd thing is that I don't know how I could have burnt them. They are in non burning soil mix and haven't had a drop of extra treats in a couple weeks. Nothing but water in those SWICKs. It is almost like SWICKing found nutes hidden away somewhere.

Or they are just getting to the end and it is the beginning of some color change.

No PPM checks here though buddy. Just a soil guy here. Sounds better than dirt bag which is what others call me sometimes.

:Namaste:

If any of you guys are auto folks... this fella sure could use some help... No Flowering ...:circle-of-love:

I think that may require some photo help in the end though. At least it got you to stop by here and hang out a bit! Any excuse to see Dennise come by my garden is a good one!

:circle-of-love:
Bob ;)

Been doing a bit of scientific research here at Dr Bob Labs and we may have an earlier harvest than was previously forecast.

Any thoughts you have on my thoughts would be appreciated mucho!

How's about a bit of tric pics and some observations. All samples came from large cola sites.

First up is Fruit Punch in Felt
fruitpunch_in_felt_tric_3-7-16.jpg

Looks mostly clear to me (60-70%) and some cloudy (25-35%) and a couple amber.

I was gonna let her go a few more days. But not too many as check out our next girl, Fruit Punch in Plastic.
fruitpunch_in_plastic_tric_3-7-16.jpg

20% clear 40% cloudy 40% amber ? Wow, they went amber fast. I think this one is ready now. Agree? I don't want total couch lock and we appear to be headed to the lounger.

Next up Lemonista.
lemonista_tric_3-7-16.jpg

45/45/5? Few more days but not much. I like to see a bit more amber in a mostly sativa looking girl. What do you all like?

And finally, anyone know whats up with this? Critical Kush
critical_kush_tric_3-7-16.jpg

Seems to be going straight to amber. Would that count as 50 clear 50 amber? Need some feedback on this one. Looks pretty much ready on the outside.

What are the votes out there? Remember I not a big edgy weed guy or couch lock lover . I am sorta a happy in the middle sorta guy if that changes your thoughts.

Thanks as always you fantastic folk!
Bob ;)

how long have they been in bloom? looking at the pistils and the trichomes I think you're in the harvest window. keep in mind that they're going to ripen further during drying. if I had to guess I'd say the critical kush is the most ripe of them all.

60 days, I'm told but it's up to you. I too am looking at my garden, we are closer then I thought.

Cheers

50 days. I just had to go double check as I thought I was a few days further on. They are right close for sure and I want to avoid it being too couch locky so we are very close for sure. I agree that critical kush looks the most ready of the bunch right now both close up and as a plant. :thumb:

Me too and now it will be a daily check I think. The Critical Kush is 50-60 days, the FP is 8weeks or 56 days and Mega Lemonista is an unknown as Simply Female isn't telling for some reason.

:high-five:
Bob ;)

I would cut everything but the lemon.. I would start with that bottom Kush... or you are gonna be on the couch :high-five:....:circle-of-love:

Now that is no BS advise right there! I am leaning in this direction. Tonight may involve more samples all around to see what the mixture of trics look like but we may be at least 2 plants shorter tomorrow. I forgot to build my drying room. Oooops. :bong:
:circle-of-love:

Let them all go another 2 weeks and get your lazy boy ready lol! See what happens when you ask stoners questions.:rofl::rofl:

Can you imagine? I mean, that kinda weed is fun now and then of course but crikey some people like it heavy. Last time I had some up in my old neck of the woods (and I really mean the woods) it wasn't couch lock it was Jupiter weed. You felt like your couch had been moved to the largest planet and you were never going to escape orbit.

I think I might just pull them a bit before that.

Good point on the stoner thing though. So far we have a time span of NOW to 2 weeks. I may have to rely on my old Jedi mind trick and fool myself into thinking it was my own idea to pluck them when they least expect it.

I will never see it coming.
Bob ;)

Sorry Brother, Couldn't help myself. It was way too good of a setup :circle-of-love:. I personally like to pluck with just a few amber trichs. But in all reality, I take everything into consideration. Looks, smell, water uptake and trichomes. It's really hard when you only grow a strain once. The more you grow the same cut and experiment with chop times, the better you'll do at plucking when it's right for "you". One man's trash is another man's treasure. It's such a personal thing and its one of the most important. Sorry I'm not much help here, but it truly is something you just have to experiment with.

Sending great vibes your way brother!:circle-of-love:

that was quick DB. are you running 12/12?

Yep, seems quick to me too. But, yes I am running 12/12 for 50 days now.

Your right of course. The thing that threw me here was the amber on the Critical and the one Punch. Didn't expect that to show up. Especially the odd, straight to amber, on the critical. Almost like that is it's color kinda like purple trics.

The plants themselves are ceasing to put out any new growth so either way we are close. If I didn't have this fancy dancy tric method I would be thinking any day on the Kush, soon on the punches and about a week or so on the Lemonista. I guess the trics tell about the same story.

I should just go :volcano-smiley:
:thanks: everybody!
Bob ;)

I've read that you shouldn't gage ripeness by trichomes on leaves, but rather on the buds themselves. Apparently, trichs ripen up faster on leaves. Maybe just double check that bud.

Dr. I like some amber on my sativas. It brings a smoothness to that soaring paranoia that a powerful sativa could deliver if she didn't have some ambers.

Great Pics, no early harvests for the Doc either then.

I find this to be true. My leaves always have amber before the buds do.

I am with you on that! The lemonista is going to be holding court in the flower tent for a while still. Maybe even a couple weeks. Having said that I don't think it will be too much of a sativa monster as it is a hybrid. We shall see if the kick has been bred out of her. :high-five:

And the choir has spoken. I need a singing emoji. You are all right once again of course. I did some digging, well snipping, today and came up with about the same story, just a chapter behind.

Buds taken from down low on Critical Kush were mostly clear with a few amber. Once again though a tendency to jump straight to amber. Very few cloudy anywhere. Here is a pic from a bottom bud.
Critical_Kush_Bottom_Bud_Tric_3-8-16.jpg

Lemonista is clear with a few cloudy. Just a few percentage points behind the tiny top bud leaf I looked at yesterday. Needs time.

And the Punches look to need about a week. Once again a straight bud show showed more clear as you all expected. Another pic!
FruitPunchTopBud_3-8-16.jpg

So, comically, my original by eye observations of the plant are about where I am. About 3 days for Critical Kush with the onset of all that amber, maybe quicker. The Punch Twins have about a week I think and Lemonista 10 days or so. I love darts! Very scientastic!

:circle-of-love: to you all.
Bob ;)
