You going to need a bigger boat.... Keepem Green

Damn I love that movie. Love it so much I named my dog after Sheriff Brodie. And I think you may be right. I am running a skiff and shoulda brought the big tug I hope.

Some great plants a growing! ;)

Thanks Light! They are loving life right now in all new 8G pots and flower soil mix. Or at least 3 are in felt pots and 1 is in a 7.5G plastic as I ran out of felt! But it will be interesting as the Fruit Punch is one each in felt and plastic for flowering. How's about some pics from tonight!?

Here are the new pots.

And heck, one more for fun.

Love the pots and the soil that sits in them. These girls jumped back from transplant in hours. The critical kush has regained most green and all new growth is back to dark. That girl just stripped all the N right out of that small 3.5 g pot before I got her transplanted. She may need a dose of guano if things are not all super green in a day or so when water is needed.

I need to decide if it is time to start another thread, change this one to perpetual or something of the sort. New girls have been started and they need to have their story told!

what kind of microscope are you using, nice:cheesygrinsmiley:

I will get it out and let you know. Right now it is in a room with a sleeping person who has to work. I will let you know tomorrow.

This is it.

Amazon: Plugable USB 2.0 Handheld Digital Microscope

It is a Plugable and it seems to work great. For the price I don't see how you can really go wrong with these.

Such beautiful plants bud. You can see they are a happy bunch.

Thanks! They have a new gift on the way too. A new light has been ordered and should be shipping any time now!

More light is always a good thing. I need to add more light to my tent when my current grow goes to 12/12. That tent is going to be packed, and the footprint from the 600w just isn't big enough. What light did you order?

You can ask the mods to change your title on this thread Bob. I've done that a couple of times, don't have to start a new journal then.

The plants are looking just luverly. Congrats on the successful transplanting as well. I just knew you would do that purrrfectly.

:cheer:

they look great my friend.

:thanks: I did let the big critical get a bit undernourished but even she is so forgiving to my errant ways!

Never met a lumen I didn't like.....

Sorry... just a smart ass post to sub the thread.

You guys are right! I love lights. And on that note my new Mars II 400 arrived ONLY TWO DAYS after shipping from China. In reality I got it in about 36 hours from when it left Mars. Sara took great care of me allowing me to upgrade as opposed to fixing the old light. What a great supporter of our gardens she has been the last 3 years or so! Shout out to Sara!

So, now I have two Mars II 400 lights in a 2x4 space. They each pull right at 200W (195 or so each) so I am running right at 50w per square foot of grow space now finally. The veg area now has 200w of real draw shinning down upon it.

I may just have to go and take some pics!

Thanks for that as I didn't know you could request a title change! Sweet. Maybe this will become "Bob's Perpetually ________ Garden". Just gotta fill in the blank.

The transplant was interesting for doing felt for a first time. On the bottom where there is no air as mine sit on the floor, the roots had come through the felt and really attached to the bottom. On the critical kush it was amazing the roots. They were white as snow and thick cords all over the bottom of the pot! I have such high hopes for that girl.

Right in the sweet spot for LED I believe?

I believe so, at least that is what I have heard and as you get above 75 you start looking at adding CO2 and the like. At least that is what I have heard. I had 30 before and really had a hard time getting above 3 OZ per plant, and of course that was for a number of reasons. THis time all bets are off with new pots, new soil, much longer veg time and more and better lights. It will be hard to really narrow down what changed other than everything!

Looking good Dr Bob :thumb:

Thanks Cronic. Glad you stopped by. And in honor of your visit, lets have an update!

The time has finally come to light this rocket and see what happens. 12/12 flip happened yesterday and I swear they are already trying to stretch. First lets take a look from above at the new light. Now we have 2 Mars 400 IIs in place and I really like the light quite a bit.

I did a bunch of tying down to get the canopy on these beasts as flat as possible. Not too bad considering 3 varieties that have had quite different life experiences

.
EDIT: I just boosted the Fruit Punch #1 and Lemonista and the canopy is much better now!

The Lemonista finds herself getting crowded out in the back. She needs a boost up! (EDIT: She got it!)

The Fruit Punch that was transplanted into the plastic pot has actually taken off the best in many ways.

Here is Fruit Punch #1 in the felt. No slouch either really.

And finally the big girl. The Critical Kush went through some issues but keeps charging ahead non stop. As noted before, when she was transplanted the roots were unbelievable. And now, they have come through the bottom of the felt and in some cases look like bright white soda straws. She had a cal/mag deficiency but the transplant left that many leaf layers below and she is back to rich green. Actually, just a touch of burn on the leaf tips but it doesn't seem to be slowing her down. (EDIT: For the record this is not a fish eye lens shot as much as it looks like one)

Flower_Group_1-19-16.jpg

These are the biggest plants by far that I have ever grown into flower. The stems are big, ridiculous branching and such rich color leaves. This soil is the tits! I am considering not defoliating for the first time ever on this grow too. I have left them alone more than normal and I can't help but notice how much they seem to appreciate being left alone. I may just do one removal to get rid of low bud sites in the shade but leave most alone. Thoughts?

I have concerns that like the proverbial mad scientist, I have gone too far and played with Mother Nature. This lot may just out run my space before two months expire and what to do then I ask? But, I do have 7 feet of height to work with as long as they don't expand outward much more. I think I have about 10 square inches of space left.

Mucho Luv to all my good gardening ganja :love:ers out there.
