Great update mate & some excellent pebble advice
When you finally get up & running with your nutes I would suggest ditching your ph down in favour of lemon juice. Phosphoric acid has warning labels on it, lemon juice doesn't

It was LA who put me onto the lemon juice, it's acidic & you can drink it so having that in your plants must be better than a product with warning labels on it. I have just checked online & although it's corrosive, once diluted phosphoric acid is non-toxic & is used as a food additive amongst other things so it must be safer than the label suggests.

Why those lights,for that footprint?? is 5 better than 2 bigger units??

Ive never heard of a "brummie bubbler" very interesting, Is algae not a concern??

as a water grower,i wouldn't use lemon juice as a ph-. I do still use it in soil,but never again in the water

I chose the light setup because of the footprint, yes, and also that i personally think smaller units put less stress on the drivers, and so hopefully will last that bit longer. At least that's the theory. In terms of algae, i have about 120 ltrs per minute of air through the res's in order to try and combat any algae build up, and also the res's are completely dark, but we will have to wait and see if it all works.

Welcome aboard mate, and thanks for your comments on the setup! It took a long time to get it all worked out so fingers crossed it produces some results!

In terms of an update i have to apologise that i have been totally shit at taking pictures of the germination process as i had to take the propagator to a family members house in a bag over the weekend, and plug it in under the bed, all covert like!! Haha, it was stressful!

All the babies look happy and well, i'll get a picture up as soon as lights are back on again, and give a full update asap.

Here's a quick pictorial update. The seeds were put into water on Thursday at 1am, so almost exactly 4 days. or 96 hours ago.

I've decided to name them after the seven dwarves!

Unfortunately, in transit, two of the pots fell over so i'm not sure if they're Blue Widow or Blue Hash, but nevermind, not te end of the world is it!

Anyway, here they all are, they're on their second day of the Gas Lantern Routine -

Also, here's an addition i made to the tent in order to provide green light to work on the plants during lights off. It's simply a 5 x 5 LED net lights set, used for decoration at Christmas / St Patrick's day etc. I got them off fleabay cheap, and they seem to work so far.

I'm keeping the propergator on, and for now i'm putting the lid on during lights off, but i plan on stopping that tomorrow. There's about 2mm of water with a few drops of Rhizotonic in it at the bottom of the propagator, just to try and get the roots down to the bottom of the net pots. I've also been drip feeding them every now and again with a syringe with the same solution.

So far things look ok

Looking good. Just wondering how many of the Mars 2 you have on right now? Sorry if you Mentioned it but I see five and I'm wondering how you're going to run them. Eg. Start with one then turn 2 more on after 2 weeks then the rest for flower or am I way off

Good question, no i haven't mentioned that yet.

At present they are just under the central 700w unit, the other 4 lights are off. Once i have 3 sets of leaves i will transfer the strongest 5 of the plants into the 5 bubblers, and as soon as that happens all 5 lights will be activated.

So you're just using it for veg then?

Yeah, essentially you just remove the hour. You can use DLR (Diminishing Light Routine) in flower, but this has less success rate than GLR so i'll probably just stick with 12/12 or 11/13 for the duration of flower.
