Man seeing your grow made me think I haven't really pushed how many plants I can fit in my tent! Those nugs are gonna be good? So you're inviting us soon to try out that harvest right?? Haha
Coco is so good and easy with the amount of control it allows you to have with nutes and forgiving in watering.
What's your opinion on blackstrap molasses in coco? I tried it on my last grow and I noticed a sweetness to it but not sure if genetics were already going to be sweet or did molasses have an effect. Time for a science experiment!

I tried unsulfured molasses on my last grow in soil and I'm not really sure it made a difference with taste although that is actually one thing that all of the bagseed I grew had in common, a somewhat sweet flavor. From what I understand is that it feeds microbes and helps with flavor but does it have any benefit in a synthetic medium would be the question I pose. Basically, there has to be some sort of living organisms in the coco, right? But are there enough beneficial ones that you would feel the need to feed them?

Correct in use it with my voodoo juice and pirhana. It acts as food for the beneficial microbes. The 3 used together form a symbiotic relationship sub surface. I also use liquid karma that has similar effect but has some hormones and kelp and organic material

I'm still so new to all of the additives that I'm really pondering if I really need all of it.
I guess when I smoke that first bowl I will know what is lacking in flavor or if I can increase weight with the additives. Learning everyday.
Well when I asked penny what he would use besides the base nutes he said that beneficial microbes were the way to go. Molasses just happened to be cheap and acts as a carbohydrate for the plants. Advanced nutrients sells carbo load but I'd rather pay the 3 bucks at the grocery store for molasses. Me buying rhino skin early was a noob mistake admittedly . Didn't really need it till flower. I'm a less is more kinda guy so I'll give them little tastes here and there

So what you're saying is just a dab here and there it's worth throwing a 1/4 tsp per gallon in the res or do you think I should start with less?
Less is always more. But 1/4 is usually a good safe starting point .

I feel that if I don't read through everything that I'm missing out which is usually the case lol. When I take few pages in at a time helps me remember what happened. I've had a terrible memory from birth and I need all the info at once instead of in spurts if that makes sense.

I decided to bust out the very first grow box from over a year ago to house the AK48 which will now be lovingly known as Sophia. It's not the most efficient atm but it will do fine to veg her.
Like I said before, space is running out in my bigger box and I'm eager to use my new 2 gallon fabric pots.
A cool breeze through the passive intakes since I don't have an extra clip on fan right now.
Ghetto duct. Westside!
It's about 30" tall on the inside and 18"deep. My very first grow I crammed 2 monster males in here so I'm confident that Sophia will be nice and comfy in her new home.
I still have to transplant her in a few and I'll have pics of her root system and her in the new digs.

Well here is Sophia and her roots before transplant.
Her root system looks pretty healthy to me and here she is in her new home along with some lst.
The rh is incredibly low but after I put her in the box it jumped up to 40 percent which is ok but not optimal. It's been super dry in our area recently so I might have to pull out the old baby humidifier eventually. This veg box is in my son's room and my wife is going to kick my was once she finds out but she's a very understanding lady so I'm hoping it'll be all good lol. I had to do what I had to.
Clones
The newest clone was placed in the bottle dome in order to collect runoff but this shit happened.
I just covered the peat pellet last night in coco with her small roots growing and then Boom! Today she is reaching for the runoff. Wtf? Could this be a dwc solo experiment in the works?
