Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

It could work. Ziggy grew in window planters and small containers and grew some nice herb. He grew 11/13 the whole cycle though so he probably did not have to worry as much about soil energy going flat.

Interesting I've been really wanting to change my 70 plant grow over to hb but only use 3 gallon pots with short veg times. Would be very interesting to be able to grow hb in my big grow. I could just use bigger pots but then would have to cut plant number in half to fit pots.
Docs like great now people are going fuck up my kit using 3 gallon pots.

I'm just finishing an HB plant in a 3 gallon pot. :cheesygrinsmiley: It's an auto and will only yield 1/2 ounce+, but 3 gallons was enough for this size plant. I think that'll be your limiting factor. If you can keep plant size down, you can do well in small pots. Very nice GT!! :goodjob: :thumb: Enjoy!! :circle-of-love:

its suggested and recommended that kit newbes go by the instructions and try the kit as intended 1-3x until you become comfortable with the ingredients.
just say'n..

... Sez the guy who never played by the rules himself.

But ya, if you follow the rules, you'll have a better chance of getting good weeds.

This plant grew in unamended 2nd run soil, with no foliars at all. NOT a good example of what the kit can do.

The energy was effected. Small pots, less soil...less energy, less ..
the 11/13 from see turned into a very successful multi experiment- accelerated the entire grow, save on space, time, energy, money, increase number of grows/year, produce larger number of varieties per area.
most of the time my leaves were altered and not perfect looking plants...
I ended up with great herb. I still have some small amounts of almost every grow I've done. :)
just smoked some 3 year old White Widow.

My first strain I grew was white widow. I still have some jars of it all these years later. I like keeping some from every grow so I can track of my progress.
First grow white widow(not high brix though)

Hey Doc, before you had told me to "bomb them with the foliars" in regards to some mites on the plants. Would Brix every 7-10 days and then 1/2 strength Destress in the middle of Brix sprayings be what you are referring to? Just want to get some clarification, have some buggies on some late flower plants.

As far as Leaf Wash goes, when sprayed in early flower, does it protect the plants until harvest? Worried about bugs from the other plants getting onto the others once buds start forming (at which point I am guessing Leaf Wash is not advised).

Leaf Wash is oil based.....so keep it away from trichomes.

Mix the other foliars at half strength and blast the crap out of the mites when you spray.

Does this help?

Alright, so I have another question, and this is for anyone in here. I have two plants. They are at their harvest period, they both have started drinking less, so we are 5 days between waterings, possibly more now. But the pistils are almost all white. These plants did get bombarded with Brix and Destress in veg and early flower, so that may have something to do with it. Has anyone else had a plant go to harvest with barely any pistils turning?

Oh heck yes! I had a Tikal that wouldn't stop blooming, weeks after the harvest window closed.

But what do you mean by "harvest period"? Breeder's numbers? Are the trichs turning?

If not, let 'em run. :slide:

If 20% of the entire mass of a nug, sticks and leaf matter and all, is THC, then any new trichs are nothing but net weight and potency, straight to the bottom line. If they still want to grow you some nice fat calyxes, let 'em do it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I have an auto right now that started foxtailing :cheesygrinsmiley: It's sister is finished, brown pistils pulling into the calyxes - already chopped the top half - but this one is stacking calyx on top of fat calyx with pretty white pistils on top. That's a lot of weight.

But if the existing trichs are degrading, it may not be worth it.

:Namaste:

Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Morning Doc, been a while and I wanted to drop in and say hey to all the Brixxers in the grow rooms and yourself as well. Hope all are having a blast learning and growing daily.

I do have a question as I may be making an order soon. Wanting to grow 6 plants in 15 gal pots, would I want to order 2 regular kits or a bulk kit? How many plants can a bulk kit grow? My main thought or concern (OCD issue) is that I hate finishing one bottle in the kit and then having to order more because it wasn't enough. I want to be able to have a kit that will grow my plants and then if need be, still have enough to give a rescue or super drench. I know we have some picky brixxers here lol so I hope I don't sound to overly picky

Bulk kit is perfect and economical.

Thanks!
