I would not say you are stupid. The first time I saw that it took me a minute to figure it out. Then I laughed mostly due to how good of a troll it is and how I can see people freaking out about this without realizing what it is.

Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Doc, I was worried about the SIPs being too moist for good root growth but looking under the canopy they look like this. I think I am going to end up with a 20 gallon rectangular rootball.


Between the two plants:

Midway to SIP edge

Right to the edge of the SIP

Flipping Tuesday so I am going to top dress a few inches and then again at two weeks post flip+ recharge.

Wow! I think having the soil loose is key. You didn't really pack it down right? Thats a lot of roots

I never pack down the soil on purpose EVER. When I transplant I fill soil on the bottom of the container and rest the new plant on top after adding roots!
The roots grow outward and suspend the soil in its loose state. There is some compaction but not nearly as much as for those whom pack the soil at transplant. If the soil level goes down I add more soil.
I don't even like to do the tech where you fill soil around an empty pot and then replace it with the actual plant root ball. I believe it compacts the soil too much.

I don't mean to scare anyone, but I was told if you breath long enough it can kill you too! Need to add a good hit to the mix on occasion maybe to counter that a bit. Research pending.

Shiggs I have the same issue currently. I wouldn't fret my friend. If it's really bugging ya, add some soil over the top or ewc or something just to make sure the roots are covered.

Btw shiggs how are your Goliaths doing? Mine got to about a foot tall I topped them and they have grown up and out about 60% more of their previous size so right now the canopy sits at about 18 inches but I just trained and bent and tied down their branches.

Haven't had a chance to pop them yet. I have 50 ish untested confirmed females to work through lmao. Oh and the roots fascinate me. They will get top dressed though.

Only 50 huh? If you get the same rate of keepers out of these as you did the huck kush and pineapple fields you will only have about 50 new keepers on your hands

Hey everyone, thought I'd stop by and post a few pics from yesterday and today. I had a good friend come by and shoot some pics. I've been planning on shooting a biography of my transition into cannabis over the last 7 years and my life as a veteran and how cannabis has been such a positive influence. For now it's just a private thing but some of the images he has shot are really amazing and as he gets more back to me I will share them with you all. I'm just glad Docs journal is so open now that I feeI can share here for doc and all of you. Here are my HB girls. Some look beautiful and some aren't as petty as the others .. Then we have the newly transplanted veg girls .
