I chose these two pics to show that in a similar hanging arrangement how very different the yields were. I am only in this for myself at this time - I am not a provider. But if I can get a larger yield the less I have to spend on energy levels for my personal use right? Not to mention I want to have something that I can say I accomplished :slide:
I am going to do 6 plants in bloom legally in a room that can handle 10 using 1kW HPS and 400W MH. I also have the CO2 system a 16" fan blowing and an exhaust fan in a sealed room. My plan is to use the 7 gal cloth pots I have and use Doc's Kit. How much Promix, etc do I need to get this done? I need to price everything out. If I need different pots I'll do that too.
Doc can you help me out here and get me started in the right direction? :)

You've got a kit? Cool.

All you need is a 3.8 cu ft bale of Promix HP Myko and 20-40 pounds of organic worm castings and you're in business. Everything else is in the kit.

The seven gallon pots will do nicely. You'll need to cook your soil and then you're in business.
 
Pic of pretty much everything but the clone tray. Half the pics were taken 2 hours later than the other half. The posture of the plants has noticeably changed as they get ready for the "sun" to come up.

The Punto Rojo appear to LOVE the soil. They are "sativafying" as I watch...

I do not have a kit aka "Doc's Kit" :) I do not know where to purchase one here in Greeley, CO :Love:

Lot's of people! Pretty sure Pakalolo does, and others.

My opinion on it? Probably fine. Doesn't look to do any harm to me. I don't know how the cuttings age or how well they work for clones, but I'm cool with the method.

It should work, but could vary (on night break time) with equatorian line sativas.

It does work. Most people run an hour of light right in the middle of the dark cycle.

That's interesting. Have you tried one minute of red light? I've got some red LED's around here somewhere, but I like my plants right now and don't want to mess with lighting schedules just yet.

Most people are using an hour of light. You're saying a minute of RED light might work? Super cool.
 
I don´t think so, as Cannabis and Xanthium are different plant species, alhough they are both SDP and of the dicotilodoeans filogeny.
But I can say that red light is way more efficient in producing or inhibiting flowering effects.

I´m thinking of trying different spectra for overexpressing flowering genes. Red light is indeed what yo should look for and grow LEDs, as I have found, do have more red spectra than HID (HPS).
