Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Dag nab it, when did that happen, ha! I've been using a cup!

:passitleft:
I have not washed in a while ( I dry plants whole so it is hard to wash) but it was most definitely a cup of each when last I did it. I just noticed when I looked at his site. He mentions using a half cup of each so I am guessing he suggests using the higher end of the range. :passitleft:

cool i did find another post where he had said to use h202 3% in first bucket. is that no longer guideline lol
The H2O2 is only if you suspect mold or mildew issues. I think he actually uses it in a 4th bucket that he puts before the lemon juice/baking soda bucket. If you had no issues with molds or mildews it is not needed.

Well hello brixxers, I thought I’d drop in and share this here link with ya! Lots to catch up on here with Doc and the gang so I’ll be backing up and catching up for a bit. Take it easy y’all, chat soon!!

Thanks Duggan! I'll try to remember that for next time I reccomend it. I don't use the tarp method, just mix it all up right in the totes with my hands. I like getting my hands dirty!

:passitleft:
Duggan,
I will do it just like you say. I'm ordering the starter kit from Amazon, is this the place to order it, best for Doc ?

I purchased the kit, and now find that I can buy bx $10 cheaper than pro mix hp. Will this work ? Also I currently have my vegging plants in 2 gal. pots of Coast of Maine super soil. These plants started life in pure coco, being fed hydroponically, then transplanted from one gal. bags, to 2 gal. nursery pots. I know the general rule to let the pots get to where they want a drink, everyday, but in these two gal pots, I'm thinking that could take too long. I amended the 40+ gal of COM from last grow, with 30 lbs of castings, 4 lb bag of Stonington blend organic fertilizer, 4 lb. bag of fish bone meal and cooked for 32 days, today. Is there any of the kit, that will be useful to the super soil grow ? Oh, and I have a test plant, that is growing in the cooked soil and it's drinking well at 7 days sense transplanting from 1 gal bag of pure coco, to 3 gal bag of recooked super soil. test plant is looking good. Soil, is a little hot, as leaves curled a little bit at like day 4, but at day 7, all looks go. I know this Coast of Maine super soil has some coco coir in it, but, I'm hoping some of the kit will benefit me.
I want to thank all you snobish brixers for any guidance. Will be starting a journal at some point. Working on improving environment now !! Low humidity is a big problem here, during winter !! Haven't seen a bug in like 3 years, and hope going back to soil, don't come with new ones.
Now, I'll retreat to page 148 of docs journal, and work my way forward.

It would help to know...There are two types of BB's: Highbush & Lowbush. This is kind of like Indica vs. Sativa and within these two types there are numerous varieties (strains). They have different requirements for chill hours required to produce berries and you have early season, mid-season, and late-season bloomers. Most of the BB's are self-pollinating though, just will have a lower crop than if no cross-pollinator. I'd really start by checking the soil PH, trimming back anything dead plus doing some maintenance pruning, and adding some fertilizer. If all that checks out, I'd look at if you have good drainage (BB's don't like wet feet, either!) and or possibly you're getting frost too early for the types of BB's you have to bloom.

Lol lookout the blueberry maestro is here haha jus playn krip. Hows the 420 garden coming along last I seen things were looking amazing I'm like 10 pages behind here so I'm sure after I read more I'll prolly see ur ladies lol.

But yea guys after all my blundering around and f#*@ing things all up lol I finally got my first highbrix harvest under my belt. This is my gorilla glue#4 auto from fast buds. I let her go 93 days so 13.2 weeks. I felt I could have got her to go longer cause alot of the top half had thick white hairs still continuing to pop up. Plus the triches still had alot of clear to them. It was mostly cloudy and clear triches an jus a few were starting to turn amber. Only reason I took her now instead of letting her go longer was cause the bottom half of the plant buds the hairs were all turning reddish brown so figured since I'm starting to see amber jus take her down lol. Here is my whole highbrix gorilla glue auto harvest right b4 I gave the dirty girl a bath lol.

Here is the main cola.

Then the best part lol here is a few budporn pics.

I do not think that any of the kit ingredients would be of great help to your super soil grow. Also I am unsure if you are planning on putting any of the plants from the super soil into kit soil, but I would not if I were you. You would be better served taking cuts and starting a fresh veg with them in kit soil and going that route. There is way too much organic matter in your super soil to allow for high brix plants.

That's what I figured TheGreenYeti, and thanks for confirming. I'll grow these out in super soil and get a kit up & cooking, next week. For some reason, my roots didn't grow into the super soil, last grow. Emilya, thinks I may have under watered them in bloom. I was watering at start of drooping, but she say's super soil needs to stay damp , all the time. Right now, I'm trying to fix a lot of problems, with little $$ !!
